A judge has granted an interim worldwide freezing order on the assets of former GFH Capital (GFHC) executive David Haigh following a hearing at the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts on Tuesday.

Will this affect the winding up partition in any way? maybe get it thrown out of court?

MC is claiming that the loan came direct from Haigh and not Sports Capital and therefore the money could be the proceeds of crime. Mc is trying to get the winding up order withdrawn before the hearing.

They are saying the winding up petition should be stopped as there is evidence the loan came for David Haigh himself and not from sport capital. If this is the case there could be evidence that the money loaned came from illegal activities and should not be repaid. GHF have said while he was in charge of LUFC invoices amounting to 5 million were false thus paid to DH. This they say is embezzlement of company funds and this I would guess is MC's position that the money loaned came from the embezzlement.

Just to add something more the unaccounted invoices were supposed to be for IT, Legal and hiring a company to investigate MC before the takeover. Actually just prior sport capital's agreed takeover deal.

Misappropriation of company funds to benefit yourself at the very least. His company get the green light, along comes MC, David didn't like that so got GHF to fund an investigation to try and discredit MC, so his company is the sole interested party. Hmmmmmm
