Andy you're wrong, Mr 9300 miles knows who owns ER now & it is Jacob Adler & fiends, names unknown atm. I think we all thought it was Bates & Co & maybe wanted it to be but for once Birdseye is not guilty.
No Cellino has a few weeks to do the deal or look even worse than he already does atm. Brining Bates back into Lufc & then not buying ER are going to create a backlash with manysupporters. I truly hope he knows what he's doing & is not playing us

If you don't know the members of the consortium how can you say it has nothing to do with Bates. I am not saying it is Bates because I don't know but would bet he is in there somewhere. Most of his enterprises are based in the caymans and have a front guy so no one knows what he is involved in.

I take your point guys & until I was told by certain people I would have said exactly the same. If I'm honest I still struggle to believe it but am forced to simply because of the source being so genuine. As for who the others are, it just stated Bates definitely isn't chaps. Square ball confirmed said piece afterwards too & I know he's not everyones cuppa tea I have no reason to doubt it.
All in all it makes life much easier for MC to get the deal done now. Let's wait n see guys MOT

Yes it is owned by jacob adler there is a consortium, adler is jewish, I don't understand why the religion of the consortium has to be mentioned, it doesn't mention bates is a catholic and so on

I mentioned jewish as that's how the news broke. Don't get why this appears to upset people but hey each to their own opinion I suppose. Might be because Bates is well known enough not to put him in a religious category however we find categorising in many things, doesn't imply anything other than a jewish community own ER and headed by Adler. If you want to push the envelope further count me out. I'm only about lufc MOT

I do not know if it upsets people, it does not sit well with me, the two best chairman in terms of silverware were manny cussins and leslie silver did anyone mention they are both jewish, you said it in terms of religion, instead of jewish consortium, you should say manchester consortium, religion has nothing to do with it

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, and that is the only reason I didn't remove the word from the initial post, every report I had read said the same thing in the papers. I also am not sure why they mention that, it does seem completely irrelevant. Though I suppose they would say it is as relevant as talking about a Chinese consortium or Manchester consortium.}

To be fair a chinese person is from china a jewish person can be from england, ireland, america, holland, the same as a christian, its areligion not a nationality
