For those wondering why jansson played. If he had picked the yellow up v derby he would miss barnsley and forest and unable to activate the clause, now it will activate v forest, as long as game isn't moved. Clever management.

Pretty sure the forest game is getting moved now, bringing him on with 20 seconds to go might have been classed as 'clever management' as you put it.

If we would have lost and Pontus not started then there would've been a few people asking why didn't Pontus start? Which ever decision is made there's always risks.

It's not clever. It makes no difference if we miss the transfer window shutting as this doesn't affect loan players. The deal will be done as soon as he reaches 22 games, it's signed and sealed. Playing Pontus last night was a bad move imo as he will miss two crucial games. MM

Didn't know that he could be signed after January, my bad. I suppose he was gunna get a two match ban eventually anyway.

I thought that he did need to be signed in Jan? The FA Cup 4th Round is on the 28th and Pontus should be back for that so it should still be ok anyway. I also would have brought him on late in the game and kept him for Derby but I guess it's broad as long.

Just to re-clarify. I was in fact wrong. I have just arrived back in the country - been to Florida on a boat that hasn't had any tax paid on it with my mate Maz and straight on the phone to my friends in the FA who tell me only overseas loan players can sign permanently after January's cut off, so carry on as you were and I apologise for being mis informed Alf old son. However, he will play on 28th and we'll sign him then so no worries will be had by all. I sound a bit like Jeff don't I with the chicken wings? MM
