Thanks AGM. In that case I'd have probed Charlie's first refusal 25 times and argued recurring refusals culminating in a year's deduction of wages. The League obviously don't mind players who refuse to play for their respective club because if they did the maximum fine would be at least double those 2 weeks.

I would go easy on taylor if i was us. His agent could easily suggest waiting until he is 24 on 18th of september so we get nothing in compensation.

Think your fear about Charlie brinkmanship misconceived. Don't think it would wash with the authorities plus his new club will surely want early integration for pre-season.
