Wood looks like he is going otherwise why hasn't he been offered a new contract I would take 25 million plus sell on but does anyone think he may not cut it in the prem and who do we get in to replace? Wells or Barnes or Danby ings

Wood is a donkey, albeit a very very lucky flukey one. I have seen him play for NZ against teams from the Pacific Islands like Papua New Guinea, Fiji etc and you would never guess in a million years that he was a paid professional. Awful first touch, slow, misses sitters, couldn't trap a bag of cement, but last season goals were pinging in off his ear, nose, knee, shin, backside, elbow etc. Luck will be due to run out.

Inns would be good but Glenn Murray is proven at this level and has goals in him.

He certainly isn't a donkey, he scored a hat full let year. I know he can miss chances, but so do the best of them. Maybe the reason he plays poor for NZ is because they are all parp, and it's tough to stand out in a big pike of dingo dung!

Let's not forget that it wasn't that long ago that lots of Leeds fans, including some on this site were slagging Wood off. Now he's wonderful and we are worried about replacing him. I think for around 20 million he will go, too much of an opportunity for him and money for us. We can do a lot of damage with 20 million judges by our transfers to date. Also we also have more attacking players including Roofe who could take on a different role.

I felt Wood was over priced at 3m when we signed him and i was concerned about his injury record. He has done well and improved at Leeds but he will only succeed in the prem if the team he goes to play to his strengths. I'm not convinced he will make the step above a Burnley/Brighton. If we can get £22m or even close, we just can't say no.
