I just don't understand why Grot looks so poor. He is uncomfortable on the ball, he can't jump, is poor in the air and can't hold the ball up. He is a Dutch under 19 international, cost £700000 + and TC is sticking with him. He must have something to get where he is now. From what I have seen of him he would struggle in the regional amateur leagues. I am hoping playing at Elland Road or for Leeds overall has been too much him at his age and he will get used to it in time. The only other player that has looked as bad was the left back that we brought in from Swansea (Besome I think his name was) - player of the year just before he came to us but looked liked he had never seen a football when he played for us at Barnsley. Maybe some players just can't hack at Leeds

Two words hessian, cibiki, alioski It wasn't long ago people slated both these guys and now look after they settled in. Remember he's a kid at 19. A kid away from home in foreign country. Give him time it will click.

Isn't that what I just said!

I saw interviews with Drogba and Crouch a few years back, both said they peaked late because rapid growth spurts took them from competent footballers to ungainly, gangling and not in control of their movement. Grot feels the same to me because he is so big physically. Long term project for me that we won't see the best of for 3 or 4 years. At the end of the day though he has attributes you can't teach, worth at least the effort and time to see if he can come good, just not as first team.

I agree and disagree. I was mad like h. l last Saturday but let's give the boy a chance. Still the best alternative up front when Lassogga not playing.
