The Middlesborough decision on Monk is interesting. You can criticise him for his style but then again, the board should have known what they were buying. A dodgy start but then won 6out of 10,wins today and gets sacked! 9th in the league. Clubs should take note if Birmingham City, not much more than a year ago on the fringes of playoffs with Gary Rowett, fire him, appoint Zola, disaster, spent loads of money on Harry to stay alive, sacked him and now bottom of the table and where is there x manager, guiding Derby County into the playoffs! I Hope that our chairman's support and praise for TC works. I think we are really building something that is going in the right direction, always need to keep fine tuning and I would like to see at least two quality additions in Jan, but sometimes patience and time works!

Spanish great post, I think it was more the way Middlesbrough were playing and not to mention the cash they spent . I do think it's Wolves and Derby for the top two, but we do have a window so my views could change . For us play-offs more than possible .

Middlesbrough want an instant return to the prem and thought Monk was the answer. Just shows even with a large spending spree on players, Monk isn't the Great Manager he Thought He Was. He Left Leeds As We didn't Match His Ambitions. Never Nice to See Anyone Lose Their Job, But A Little Smile Today, He Will Pick Up A New Club As This sport rewards failure of you are a manager of coach. As to our club, quietly putting some points on the board. One game at a time, definately need to strengthen for the play off push. Happy Christmas fellow whites, m. o. t

I feel our team are a good, top of middle, team. Not quite challenging for top two but of the nearly rans we are top of the pile. Of course 2/3 quality additions could change all that. Whether that comes in January or even next summer I do not care (I do actually but will rely on TCs good judgement) . PS However I will be more than happy with a long string of 1-0s to the end of the season!

At the moment I would say Wolves are destined for the top 2 but, looking at our next half a dozen games, they are all winnable. Following those we are down to the nitty-gritty, Cardiff, Blunts, Bristol, Derby, Brentford, boro, Wolves. I reckon 15 or more points from that 7 games and we're in with a shout :) as ever . the eternal optimist MOT . ALAW

Spanish No more complicated than Boro wants Pulls now he's available. They're upgrading so Monk had to go.

Spot on George, when you gaze into your magic ball can you still see David Oleary on the M62 in his taxi or has he parked up for crumb? Merry Christmas.

It’s a results business most of the time and any new job is a risk really. Didn’t work out for Monkey at the ‘Boro but it’s a tough place. Best of luck to him in his next job as long as he doesn’t do as well as the Mighty Leeds Utd
