Im in the, give the guy a chance camp. He has come in at a difficult time. i'd like at least a point from sheffield, but he has a seriously diminished squad. Hoping he goes for a bit of pace up front. Give tyler a chance. Rest alioski for dallas. Drops lassoga. Put eukaba back in if fit. can't really judge him at least until he has pontus, berahdi and saiz back.

In the meantime i'm hoping he has a good look at potential benchers from u23s. Our defense is short of a picnic atm so best form of defense is attack. Hard fast constant flows of attack. Over to you pauly! In regards to leeds comments when he was a lad. Grow up boys. Sticks and stones He will be chuffed to be given this opp and will work his socks off.

Oh and it worked last time so, ORTA OUT!

I've been having a wee think. Not usual for me, I know, but nevertheless. Let's say, for argument's sake, that we have a quick and pronounced turnaround in fortune. Does that mean that our players are the goods and Orta was right all along and his vision was only sullied by TC's ineptitude. Don't know. I'm not saying this is the case but it is an interesting thought.

I'm inclined to agree with you, Ausman. Still, food for thought.

Interesting Kiwi i like your thinking. Fans have been getting there backs up a lot with orta and maybe orta is sticking by his recruitment in saying well it sthe manager who isn't playing them right so he has to go. Really could see a 442 this weekend, and praying or grot to come good, grot and roberts could be lethal in a few years, just hope they both get used. i'm also sick of the 4231 now i think its boring and expected from leeds, let's mix it up, a 433 with an attaching midfielder maybe, perhaps you coudl have forshaw and vieira sitting with phillips supporting the striker, to wide men hugging the touchline, dallas was excellent in that second half, really impressed me he's something we've missed. hernandez cutting in from the left and whipping balls in. i'm really optimistic about this team again. I was always on the TC in bandwagon and keeping him for the season but I went to ER on saturday, and hull on tuesday, and both performances showed no clinical edge that we've had when saiz was available, and a lot fo what monk showed last year with wood up top. Since losing kyle bartley, jansson has gone quiet and hasn't had as good of a season, but that doesn't mean he can't turn it maybe a brutal manager is what we need. This man knows leeds and knows what they're about having had such a close link with them as a barnsley fan, manager, player, wednesday player, and seeing them in the championship for so long, i don't think you could have hired anybody more relevant that's got years ahead of him. The 18 month contract thing, i think that's a statement from him to say, if i can't get you up by then, ill go i'm not right for this, bt give me a full season in charge with my own recruits ill show you what i can do. I like this bloke, and i think he just may be a miracle.

The problem with 442 or 433 is the midfield battle - with only 3 or 4 in there we can lose the battle and that is vital to the whole game. therefore 5 in the middle makes sense so that we can supply the forwards and help the defence. with that in mind and our depleted squad to consider I would be tempted (as another poster said yesterday i think) to play a 3-5-2. De Bock on the left side, Pennington in the middle and Anita on the right. Utilise Dallas as wing back on the left and Alioski on the right. middle three of Hernandez, Forshaw and Viera in the middle and a front two of any combination of Roberts, Roofe or Lasogga.

Didn't Jansson get player of the month last month Samo? Return to form i would say?

The 352 sounds appealing and i think jansson may be back fit so would be a better option than anita. Alioski works hard to track back, and I'd probably play him like you say, question is, where does this formation leave berardi, ayling, saiz, cooper, ekuban, when all fit and not suspended, suppose it enables us to have a really good bench. If i were to play a 352, and considering this a championship team again next season, i'd have wied, (think paul will bring in someone like bentley from brentford) jansson, ayling, berardi, dallas and de bock as wing backs, 2 holding being vieira and forshaw, hernandez as number 10, then saiz and roberts up top. However, i think the 3421 would better suit us, with hernandez, saiz, and roberts as the front 3, with dallas and de bock on the wings. I think alf got POTM in december yes alf but everyone knows he was a better overall player last year, 1 of 2 for the team of the season from leeds last year, bamba is more likely to get it than jansson this year as horrible as that is to say

Jansson for Anita for sure, Saiz for Hernandez, Ekuban for Lasogga and the rest can play for their places with those in form keeping their spot. although with everyone fit I would go to a narrow 4-2-3-1 myself with the 3 pushing forward and looking to score goals and provide chances for Ekuban.
