Bamford for £7m, raising to £10m? I hope not, Boro must be laughing at us.

Don’t remember posting this last night. Must have had one sherbet too many. Anyway what I was trying to say was Bamford for £7m is silly crazy money radz, don’t do it.

Bamford is a good player, a lot better than Roofe in that position and he works. With Hernandez, Saiz, Forshaw, Douglas, Ayling and hopefully another winger like Maddison or Foden giving quality to a striker he would score bag fulls. Boro couldn’t decide who was their starting forward last season with Bamford, Assombalonga, braithwaite, Gestede and Traore they swapped so much nobody was ever settled and he still got 13 goals. Roofe was our top scorer with 11.

Boro paid 7m for Ashley Fletcher! conpared to that Bamford is a bargain.

I rate Bamford, played as striker will get around 20 a season easy. Played most of last season out wide and still did well.

IF we do sign him he must be played as NUMBER 9 not outwide then I think we’ll have a good signing and at 24 he should only get better.

I wasn’t keen on Bamford at £16m but at £7m he’s a decent player at this level. He’ll be good for 15 goals. A season and allows Roofe to drop a bit deeper

If bubba sees something he can work with, I trust him.

Btw £3m for Douglas is a top bit of business
