Caceido and Costa, if added to the five from last season, Roofe, Bamford, Roberts, Harrison and Pablo, would give us 7 players to cover our attacking options. Think we would need one more in, after that the pathway for younger players would become too blocked up . As Saiz is still one of our players, I would have him back, especially if we could get back firing to his best. He was the best player in this league for a time. We would have Alioski and Dallas who could cover as well . Plus some of the U23's should be getting very close to competing for game time, there is about six of them who are knocking on the door, on paper the squad is starting to shape up.

1970 Saiz is part of our past. He deserted us in our time of need. He must not be allowed to play for our club again. Haven't even mentioned his other problems. Tyler the Creator shall fill his void.

I so agree with George, from the outside it’s impossible to get the full story about how a player does or doesn’t fit in, but my bet is that Saiz doesn’t and Bielsa will not want him back. However good his football could be, he had to be inThe right frame of mind to produce it and often wasn’t . The spitting and ban came at a crucial time of the year for the club. The personal reasons took him back to Spain at another crucial time for the club. He goes to a club pushing for the 4th champions league spot in Spain, they don’t do it and his contribution is minimal in an opportunity and place that was absolutely perfect for him! If he is going to find a happy place for him to play, it’s not going to be in Leeds and to be honest I’m not sure where it will be if he couldn’t make it work in Madrid where he wants to be! I think he could have been a really superb football player but just don’t think the desire, determination or professionalism is there.

He needs to get the desire back or he is finished which would be a shame. Not sure who will want him at the moment. He could get his head down and play his best for us next season to try and secure a move to Spain or he could just end up in minor leagues. Would be a plus for us if he came back with determination and i would be happy with that. Then again if Bub feels he no longer has that passion would be happy to see him walk out the door.

Saiz was relatively old when we brought him in, if he was "all that" he wouldn't have been in the Spanish second division, he did well initially but always seemed to be petty and precious, as if we'd bought a mini Messi 🙄🙄🙄.
