Wondering what's everyone's views on Jansson having no Premier league team coming in for him? Would explain the low fee? If someone told me a few days ago he was off to Brentford I would of thought they were off their head! I'm still waiting for a counter offer from a bigger team but looking unlikely.

My only thought on Jansson being sold for a pathetically low fee is that our chairman is a cretin. and I might have just insulted cretins.

I think Jansson has enough qualities to have been a success in the PL. Maybe not a top 6 team, but definitely a mid to lower placed team.
So, I am surprised by the paucity of his suitors.

The fee, well it's just economics, if the only buying team will only pay £X then £X is all he is worth.
The selling team could always say NO, that's too low and not negotiate further. Thus, by basic logic, the selling team are actively wanting to get rid of that asset.

Now, it could be because the asset is no longer viewed as necessary. Or the asset has become toxic. But also it could be that the transfer fee is viewed as the important part of the transaction for the selling club.
Maybe it is needed to pay a debt. Maybe it is needed to fund a new asset.
Personally I have no idea, but I have an inkling that the Pontus Jansson transfer will not be the last transfer Leeds United ever do. They have a history of doing it. 99 years in fact. can't see them stopping now.

If PJ was deemed a negative influence at the club and had to go what is happening about Saiz, the club has had since January to deal with him?
