If we don't get a good result tomorrow I think the writing is on the wall. Last season we were going through our new year down turn. We played QPR who were having a poor spell. They managed to beat us and then continued their mediocre run. We continued our mediocre run and everybody knows the result of that. Our last seven games have only given us one win.

We have managed six points from six games. We threw away a three goal lead against Cardiff, managed a lucky point against Preston and lost against Fulham who were going through a bad patch. We also nearly blew against Birmingham. So, without a goal scorer, with Dallas playing out of position in midfield (doing a tidy job but without the cutting edge we need and being extremely vulnerable from set pieces we look to be quite shaky. We don't convert the few chances we are making at the moment, We don't score from our own corners or set pieces.

It doesn't look like any decent player is going to be signed this window and even if one does it will probably be weeks before he gets to play. In view of all this I think the QPR game will be a sign post. Is Bielsa going to pull off a master stroke and get us promotion or is it just 'nearly' again? QPR might show us if we are back on track.

Hess, if the board had done any scouting like they would have us believe the we would have had a couple of decent signings done and dusted by now. I fear we will have the best efforts of the current squad and MB for the remainder of the season.
A win at QPR is only one win, 3 pts towards the magic 37 - 40 pts IMO we need for promotion. Me feels no signings and no promotion again is on the cards.

How many of those games did Pable miss?
There is an undeniable trend in our results when he is missing.
Hopefully he's good for the start tomorrow and normal service is resumed!

Hess Sadly, a very good and accurate post by you. Our senior players need to step up, take responsibility and score goals. Thinking of Paddy, Jacky, Mateuszy and Pabloy.

First time poster here- Exactly right Canada, Pablo is undeniably the magic ingredient in the team. Fingers crossed for a masterclass tommorrow!

pablo is 35/ 36 and by far our best player, there is no way he would have lasted 46 championship games, we do and needed another pablo at the start of august, our owner is a skintflint.

Hess the writing is already well and truly on the wall and one result will not change it . This January window is looking like turning out like many others unless the three amigos pull their fingers out sharpish . But the rumoured structuring of the Bowen deal with the major part of the outlay contingent on promotion just smacks that they have learnt zilch from the DJ fiasco . They are either naive or arrogant or probably a bit of both . Latest updates suggest they are still not giving up on Adams and Gray but again that also appears like lessons have not been learnt . Supposedly there’s a foreign guy who MB rates and Sharp as the two back up options .

I think they are probably very wary of Financial restrictions. Last thing we need is a 10 point deduction and we don't know but I'm assuming that we are prbably borderline if we pought a player outright. It looks to me as if we can afford a few mil but can't afford 10 or 12 mil. I would suggest that these ristrictions are what is holding back any outright purchases. Although it seems a lot of you guy's know much better than the so called idiots running our club. I trust that they are doing as much as they can to both avoid FFP and get the best possible team. It just makes sence. MOT.
