We shouldn't be surprised at the poor performances when the club hires a manager whose only experience is in the Cypriot league who then allows the 'spine' of a relatively successful team to leave, including 3 internationals, the player of the year and the club captain. Bartley and Wood probably of his control but Green and Bridcutt shouldn't have been released. None were adequately replaced. Grot, Wiedwald are very poor, Alioski, Klich and Lasogga not much better, no idea about Cubicki and still have doubts about Philips. I can't believe some people are suggesting Albania's top scorer will improve the team on his return from injury!

Don't they come out of the woodwork when it's not going so good! Go back to the dark side giles

Everything really Wood was average at best
Taylor wanted to go
Bridcutt not good enough
Green probably should of kept. All will come good as we are rebuilding

Green is an antique some seem to forget he didn't start last season so good

Welcome Giles - bit of a harsh reception to your first post and you do have some decent points about us not back filling for positions. I think Lasogga is certainly good enough but needs decent service, we didn't adequately replace the goalkeeper or left back or centre back though. not sure about how much of as loss Bridcutt was but we definitely need to see more from his potential replacements. we need some steel in front of the back 4 - I say play Nessy there.

Yeah
Id have kept taylor. He has longevity at top level. Green past it. Bridcutt bloody awful. Wood flatters to decieve. Thought we stuck viera in midfield for bit of bite and back four protection. That dosent seem to be enough. Now we want shaun and viera protecting back 4. How about the back four doing their job properly and learning how to defend and pass forward accurately.

You couldn't have kept Taylor he was out of contract and wanted to go

Welcome Giles May not agree with you, but welcome anyway. Fact - TC is our manager so let's support him all the way until he is no longer our manager. As for playing staff we do not know what control he has over the comings and goings. Every acquisition is a gamble. I have seen far more expensive players with far bigger reputations fall flat on their face when moving to a new club/country. So may I recommend patience. Some of us are baying for instant success and with the best will in the world, with a limited budget, it's not always possible. There are the corpses of many a manager strewn by the wayside to prove that. Quite a few owners with burnt fingers also. i hate to say Brentford is a (cliche warning! ) must win game but a good win, or even a good performance from every player and a creditable draw will show that we are turning the corner and the team have spirit and are still playing for the manager. It is only him and his staff that are privy to the dressing room and training pitch so let us have faith and remember, MOT.

Wagner did not have the best first season in charge of Huddersfield but spent time developing a style of play and identifying those players who suited the system he wanted to play. Therefore I can see the merits of remaining patient. However I am interested to understand at what point posters on here will change their viewpoint (what would it take) . Leodis preaches patience and then says that the Brentford match is a must win game. If we lose will Leodis change his opinion ?

I doubt at any point of hudds season they lost Yes lost. 6-7!
I will be so happy to alllow brentford to be 1 point below us. I don't know what is a matter with a lot of posters on here. I don't undestand how this form and results is tolerable. Is it patience or lack of ambition? I like TC. But the results are not good enough and he is responsible. History will show as many successes as failures by changing manager. Start winning or goodbye.

Bad runs and off form are part and parcel of being a Leeds fan. I wonder Aus why you don't call for Radz head seeing as he appointed TC

If players are out of contract you can't force them to stay giles, if players want to leave what's the point in keeping them and as for Christianson every coach starts somewhere and he does have European experience. Every manager has bad runs. One word giles FERGIE

Welcome Giles, I do agree43 with most of your post we should have gone all out for Bark, kept Green as for the others Taylor wanted to go and so did Wood . Personally would like to see as invest in proven gk with Lonners as back up and proven striker Lassie good but does not do enough when with out ball, I also think we need cover on both l/b and r/b.

My 2p ; TC is not responsible for transfer activity, in or out. Bartley was crazily overpriced for a championship purchase. Taylor was out of contract, and clearly wanted to leave. We would have been utter mugs to turn down that cash for Wood, who, before last season, was largely a waste of space in the eyes of most fans. As others have said, Lasogga need the right service, and he will deliver. We do need an out and out left back in Jan. That is all.
