Back to basics, nullify the oppositions strengths and play to your own strengths In the last 2 games on TV the oppositions mid fielder has been man of the match and we have not taken action to stop them . They have been running the show. First thing is you need to win the battle against your opposite number and then contribute to the team performance. We are failing in this. As others have said we are weak down the spine and lightweight. We need to get back to basics with a proper holding mid fielder, away from home also we need to be far more defensively set up . We are far too cavalier in our approach and have lost the benefit of both Bartley and Monks defensive coaching from last year. Coops is only squad standard and Ayling leaves too many gaps in behind with trying to go forward all the time especially away from home. Would try Shauns in holding mid f in a 3, with a lone striker and then either two creative players or alternatively another midfielder who can get forward like Dallas and one creative player. Give TC a fair cack at getting it turned around, 3 or 4 games after the break, failing that would look to bring in someone like Mick McCarthy

We don't have a forward who panic's defenders Lassie is far to easy to put off the ball then he does very little to retrieve the ball, Grot is not at all ready and I'm not convinced he will ever be. Brentford tackled and passed the ball and considering there budget made us look second best most of the game . Waghorn cost Ipswich 1mil and would have made far better business . Bloody shame Barton was banned as we could do with a general in midfield and on the pitch no ones screaming at players about there positioning etc . Saiz is great but often shoots rather than passing to a better placed player. I don't agree Pontus had a bad game and the penalty tackle was needed .

I have to agree PA about giving TC a few more games to turn things around but failing that if he doesn't bring in Mick Mccarthy? I really think we should be looking at some one with a bit more class than him, I think that would be taking a backward step. Take Newcastle. they aimed high and got Rafa. Why aren't we looking at higher profile managers. we are as big a club as Newcastle, really think we should go all out to get a proven name if TC goes.
