The financial situation we are in dictates the type of player and where we have to look. Our marketplace would be; the out of favours, the young kid with promise, the old good oldie with hopefully a couple more years in him or scour the backwaters of europe for a cheap talent on nothing wages. Until we reach the land of milk and honey, that is our lot and no amount of profligate spending will bring that land nearer. So, for now, let's just back the powers that be and if it's next year then so be it but whenever it is I don't want to watch a yoyo team, spanked by every prem team and straight back down again. No let's hope that what we have plus the "ones for the future" will give us a fighting chance when we go up. Yes I know some of us will not see 50 again so Radz, let's not hang about eh.

I disagree. I reckon. 3-5 good ones for now would have cost less than the 10 maybes and 37.5 for the future ones we bought. let's get up before building for the future. Arse about face i reckon!

Agree 100% leodis. Ausman why would you prioritize going up before building for the future? Imo makes much more sense to build for the future and then be a constant prem team, like Southampton etc. rather than like Sunderland etc.

I totally agree with your post as of my previous post this week. For the first time in over ten years we have stability and maybe its me been nostalgic but going back to the team consisting of Kewell smith hart boweyer woodgate robinson ect all you talented players brought through the ranks be it apprentices or young rising players from other teams, so if this regime for bringing in young unproven talent to mix with the players in the under 23 s and younger is how we proceed without splashing silly millions then in the board and the manager i trust. The last thing i want to see is leeds in the premiership been thumped every week but everyone (mainly the media and ex star footballers saying leeds are a big club and there shock results. So if the board consider that building from within is the way forward i back them 100%. Ps i have been wathing leeds home and away since 1970 so yes i would love the glory days back But let's be patient.

If we go up we then have the money to build for the future.
