seen a few of my posts have upset a few so thought I better clear it up from my point of view. for me football is about over or under acheiving. This years prem manager so far is not pep, anyone can spend millions have the best players and win league, anything less would be a failure for me it is Sean Dyce, what he has done is amazing, with very little he has built a lot and over achieved. This is why I am happy we got hickenbottom, look at his record, yes with a poor team, but he built that team up, despite them losing their best players and not reinvesting he has done really well, if he overachieves by the same amount with us we will get prem. as for Revie, love the guy love watching the tapes but for me he underacieved. it is cirminal he didn't win more. he had one of the best collection of players who should of built an era, yet outside of leeds you say great teams they talk of fergie's man u, Arsens arsenal, busbys man u (for me the greatest achivement ever losing all them players to come back and win a game let alone leagues and champs leagues is amazing) , and liverpool of 80's no one mentions leeds as we didn't win enough finally as for clough, i know we are meant to hate him but he won two european cups in two years, that is two more than leeds as a club have won in nearly 100 years, you could argue he is more successful as a man than we are as a club as he won more therefor how can he not be our most successful manager? maybe i have a slightly different view as i'm not in leeds so easier for me to take a step back with perspective? and I have to say I am excited by hickenbottom he will have to prove himself and he has the ability to make teams better than the sum of their parts, just what leeds need

Revie's team played in around 15 finals and semi finals for a 10 year period they never finished lower than 4th smashing records on the way Clough's record comes no where near only fatigue and bad refereeing decisions cost us the double and trophys we deserved Revie's team was recognised as the best club side ever I've not seen a better one and nor likely am I ever.

Underachieved? Revie built a dynasty from no where. Was the dominant club for decade and was cheated of more trophies on regular basis. His legacy should also include the European cup in 1975. That was virtually the team he built and they should have had their rightful place as winners. Watch the game

only on a leeds site would this be said, there are many vaild reasons we didn't win more (awful ref in european cup final the perfect example) but fact is they were more often than not nearly men. clough won league with two different poorer teams clough also won the big one twice actually smashing leeds as a club in that regard. Being away from Leeds I don't often speak to many leeds fans but fans from every other club and none would agree revie was better, lots say leeds were great team but nearly men, while clough got teams (lesser teams) over the line. Sorry leeds fans but only leeds fans think this, have this debate in any pub outside of leeds and you would get laughed at. Saying this that for me ain't a problem. I don't think leeds are a massive club, history wise we haven't won that much and many other teams are far bigger, we have been out of top flight more than in it, and glory years were really underachieving, but we have got great support, had some great players and had some great moments, we also had some awful moments (lots recently) but I still love the club, know coulgh is better than revie but i still love revie that is what being a fan is about. my fav player ever is john lukic love the bloke but i am fully aware seaman was far the better keeper, just like i know my wife is not Louise redknapp but i still love her MOT

Not wanting to be a wet blanket but I am one who gives more credit to Peter Taylor than Brian Clough. With Taylor the results were magnificent. Without he was pants. However, you made some good points BW. Could be some exciting times ahead. MOT.

kiwi i agree there taylor was very important and without him clough was often found wanting. bige many fans outside of leeds say they were great just don't compare them to man utd and liverpool

Bermo Kenny won three titles not six as you previously said.
