Its interesting how a team can implode. We rode our luck at begining of season and are really a 6-8th place team. But now we have just turned to rubbish. It prob wasnt all tc and i don't think its heck. Maybe the upper management are effecting the players. I mean they are not all as bad as they are playing. Knee jerk is heck is in trouble if we don't beat bolton well. But it must be an underlying problem. Something that has effected the players so much they have given up.

Like you say Aus, it is difficult to find an explanation for the contrast between great Leeds at beginning of season and shat Leeds that we have now. Strangest season I can remember. Something odd has been at play.

You're right Aus, it's totally baffling! Simple passes going astray, discipline out of the window too often. All of these players are capable of performing at a a better, more consistent level!

#groundhogday #roundabouts not the 1st time tho is it? Seem to remember it happening more often than not in recent seasons

Sorry but it is not baffling in the slightest. We had done the majority of our recruitment in the summer therefore TC had the opportunity to coach the style of play. Opening set of games were against teams that are in the lower half of the table and we sucker punched them with a brand of attacking football that had not been seen by a Leeds team for many years. Success builds confidence and we were top of the league. Then along come Millwall with the template that has since been copied by the majority of clubs to nullify out threat, coupled with the fact that at it's core the team is physically and mentally week, the high pressing football took it's toll and we were burnt out by Xmas. Defeats eat away at confidence, injuries occur and indiscipline sets in leaving the team to rely upon a weakly constructed squad. TC does not know what to do and is replaced in Feb. By that stage the damage is done and PH is working with a shell of a team who cannot wait for the season to end. As for being a 6th to 8th place squad, we can only hope to aspire to it as the quality is simply not there

Please forward this post to Rads and Co, Make sure Kenner and Orta have a good read, give Hecks till the end of the season to see if he can demonstrate he is the right man to bring us forward, if not look for someone who knows how to get a team promoted, a Wagner or a McCarthy. Then go and spend the money needed to assemble the squad capable of gaining an auto place .

We were great at the start of the season because we faced a load of rubbish teams and that gave us confidence. once we were found to be lightweight teams started to bully us and we lost confidence and the decline soon followed. we need to get the fight back into the team and get even the smaller players to show they can be hard as nails and will not back down or just continually fall over and expect a free kick. Hecky knows this and has spoken about it a number of times.

Ausman1 I agree we had a good team which only need one or two additional players instead they replace the lot, with carp.

"Replaced the lot". ? Wood went, because he wanted to, and for good money. KB went because he wasn't ours, and was overpriced, and then spent 6 months injured. Taylor was ooc, and didn't want to stay. Green should never have been allowed to leave, I agree. The rest of "the lot" were here already and have been added to, a few of them quality, a few not so great yet. Just my perspective.

Totally clueless Ausman if you can't see what has happened. I take no pleasure from stating the facts or upsetting your point of view
