We have a number of midfielders - all pretty much in the same mould. Although we need a decent striker we also need a playmaker in the centre of the park. Someone who is comfortable on the ball can drive forward and can see the best pass and deliver it. Someone in the McCallister mould. So, One centre half, one Midfielder of the type described, one winger who can actually cross the ball properly and a striker. Anything else is a bonus.

We haven't seen Ideguchi yet or even some of the Academy players so they may fit the mould that you describe otherwise I agree. It would be a bonus if we capture Bartley (or similar) but I am not panicing at CB with the emergence last season of O'Connor and Shaugnessy. As for left back. it all depends on Tom Pearce.

Hess you’re right mate but it also proves that they don’t make them like Gary Mac anymore. We picked him up from league 1 Leicester for I believe 1 million ok a fair enough few bob back then but even in OLearys days we never had a CM with his class.
