I am in two minds over Pontus who is very frustrated and blaming everyone around him (but himself) and I can understand his frustration. He wants promotion, yesterday! Don't we all. Hopefully all the other players are kicking themselves for failing. After all it is they who are mostly to blame. The things that annoy me with Pontus is that he appears to be blaming everyone but himself is airing his grievances too freely and in not so many words angling for a move via the media. That anyone would want to better himself I have no problem with. To try to circumvent the normal channels I think is, out of order and I think makes Pontus look like he thinks he is bigger than the club. Either this is a media situation badly handled or it is time to grant his wish, say thank you and move him on.

Unless you grow up with a club you have one person in mind. yourself. He is a commodity that would get sold if not wanted so he doesn't see the would through rose tinted glasses! Why sound surprised? If he decided not to go would be full of praise for him and suddenly get amnesia? He's seen the potential writing on the wall from much close up than any of us, decided the chaos is endemic and he's reviewed his options. He's a grown-up. he is 27 and the clock is ticking.

Pontus looked great in his first season, was this because the bartman was along side him? . He became something of a hero at ER. When we needed him to be that hero this last season he went missing (like most of them) or conveniently went off injured. Leeds gave him a chance to kick start his career after his torrid time in Italy, seems now he is bigger than our club. Hope he has a great world cup and we can get a big fee for him. As good as he may be or thinks he is, the club is bigger.
