Supported Leeds since 1954 and saw most matches throughout that time except for the years I was playing Yorkshire league football myself. Given all the things the management have done to drag the club through the mud bringing in Steve Bruce would be the final straw. Thought about just binning my season ticket as I would not want to follow a team, wherever he took them, if he was in charge. Thought better of it though. Whilst I have never been a demonstrator I fancy starting a 'Bruce out' campaign, should the need arise. The aim would be to beat the Brian Clough and Jock Stein record. I felt the same way about Clough.

Sorry but don't agree. Said before I don't really want Bruce but he's an appointment that would make total sense given the situation we are in. And I think sacking Clough was possibly the worst mistake we had made up to then. Made plenty more since of course. I don't care if Mickey Mouse takes charge if they can get us back to the promised land before it's too late for me to see it

Sorry Hess I agree with you and disagree with you. I would say no to Bruce purely because he is a very average manager. The whole Red Scum thing I don't buy into. Over the years we have traded player back and forth and I for one am eternally gratefull of seeing Johnny Giles and Gordon Strachan in the white of Leeds no matter where they came from.

With you on this one Hess! Can't stand the guy, and don't want him devaluing the home dugout at Elland road with his knock knee, smarmy ass presence! On a positive note, the same regional rag did say that Hernandez was set to snub all midlands clubs to sign for us!

Speedy, I agree re Clough. Set the precedent we have now of not giving coaches a chance! ? And Leodis, Like martyn with PH, I only dislike Bruce as a choice because like you say, he's average, and I just don't like the guy. That said, should he be appointed, I would do my usual, and preach giving the man time, like him or not.

Breaking a self imposed exile from this site to agree with you hess . It would be the biggest disaster and is most likely just bored journos having a wind up. Or bookies trying to pull some easy money when they know it won't happen

It's not just about the Man. U. connection. I'm not a Man u. fan but I thought Johnny Giles was probably the most cultured footballer we have had at the club and Gordon Strachan was no slouch either. I admired both of them. With Bruce it's the whole package. I don't like his style, I don't like how he presents himself and going up with him in charge (if it ever happened) would just be the start of a roller coaster like Hull and Sunderland who went up without the right credentials.

Agree with speedy don't particularly like Bruce but his CV is an improvement on what we've had lately knows the league might glean some villa players as well won't want 8 million a year can speak English and won't demand vast transfer funds and will stick around longer than loose cannon Bielsa, time to move on Ranieri, big Sam or Bruce would do a good job fear were going to miss out on the players we want with all this fannying around needs sorted now whever it is

I totally agree with all sides but I would lay all my misgivings aside just to have a manager that can take us forward, don’t really care who as long as they can handle the club and our expectations! Just give us something to shout about and be proud of, it’s as simple as that 👌

Totally agree mikewoody, just want someone who can take us forward. Don't really care who he is as long as he gets us playing and winning football matches.

Perfectly said Mezzer, It’s as simple as that! The Leeds supporters will soon forgot who Bruce played for if he gets us playing again! They will soon forgive Big Sam for boring football if he gets us up! In fact whoever gets us going in the right direction will be given god like status, all we need is Radz to make it happen! Just think how much time and money Radz would of saved by appointing a proven manager in the first place!

Let's just hope that this time next season we can be talking of what a great season we just had and not experiencing ground hog day again, and speculating on who our new coach/manager will be.

We all have our opinions on who we would want, but the bottom line for me is does it matter who it is as long as we are up there challenging for promotion.

That would be fantastic Mezzer, not to much ask for is it? and surely our time is due, we’ve been in the wilderness to long now, it really must be time to seriously challenge!

Agree with a lot of the above sentiments, including Whiteman! "I just don't like the guy" is indeed, a very negative comment! 😜🍻
