Just recovering after lasts nights disappointment, now have a feeling of pride once again in being an England fan. Southgate, the squad, the coaches and the back room staff have put a smile back on the nations faces. Suppose what I'm trying to say is thank you Southgate et al, we're all very proud of what you've achieved and you should all be very proud of yourselves. Similarities between Leeds and England in the fact that there are no big stars. So take note Leeds United, show some pride in your play, the fans will get behind you and then nothing is impossible.

You have to have some pride in any team that gets to a major Semi but there are plenty of ex England teams who would have sailed to the Final given the draw we got. We played 2 quality teams and lost both. We are a workmanlike team built on set plays. We miss a creative midfield player to unlock defences. I have to agree with Southgate, "this team has not shown its true potential". Too many big names looked very ordinary. In the Croatia game they looked threatening on every attack we never really looked dangerous anywhere near their box. In fact, in the rest of the pitch, build up was slow and laborious with too many sideways passes. No one with the ability and vision to create anything dangerous from the back. Just a series of side/ back passes then a long punt or a loss of possession. I do not want to sound too critical but unless we start beating some meaningful opposition in meaningful games then I cannot really say, It's Coming Home. Hopefully a world beater will emerge from one of the tournament winning teams.

Have to agree Leodis, Henderson is a long way from being an international, a decent, creative midfielder and that team could grow into something special by the time the next tournament comes around. Nevertheless I feel we did better than what was expected, damn, I might be getting back to expecting England to win everything again :)

We need 3/4 world class players to truly compete and we only have 1 - Harry Kane. The hope is that some of the youngsters will develop into world class players in the next 2-4 years plus some of the more promising youngsters from the U20s and U17s to fill out the numbers. simply not good enough this time but this tournament was never about us winning but gaining experience and building for the future. sounds like Leeds.

I think that the back 3 could be world class, probably not individually but as a unit.
