Looks like it. We are going to see Blackman in the second half and Roberts again. Good to see if Klich can build on the plaudits from the other night and would be good to see Tom Pearce making a bit more of an impact. Also good to see where Viera plays again. Anyone know about Hernandez, missing on sat and again tonight.

Re the transfers, I think it’s going to be a mad final week before the window closes with a lot of activity and then a knock on to the loans available. I know it’s not ideal but we need to wait and see how it all looks as the season starts. Not bad that we have a fairly tough start as we are going to get a realistic impression. Still don’t think this is a relegation squad. Let’s see how good “El Loco “ is!

Looks like it Leodis can't for the life of me see how this prepares the team for Stoke any ideas gratefully accepted.

No pre season game prepares us for the league, unless we're playing in the states against top teams, earning money for the club. These games have always been about fitness, formation, and player assessment, nowt more. It's a positive thing to give some of the younger lads a run against a good standard team.

We never do anything in pre-season friendlies, that's why I don't go to any. It's just an exercise to get rid of "ring rust" and yes, I know it's painful ;)

Players are saying that they are spending a fair amount of time analysing off the pitch as well as practising on it. I wouldn't be surprised if Bielsa uses the footage from these preseason games exceedingly well for both team and individual players.
