Good point for both teams way I see it. Bera was outstanding Bermy. Good games for BPF, Coops on his return put in a brave effort Douglas KP and Harrison played well. For them Shotton was immense. I expect Boro to finish no lower than second.

george i take it you watched from tv, watch it back and do three things

look at kp successful forward passes (3 of 9 pretty poor)
look at KP successful tackles (1 in 95 minutes awaful for Defensive mid)
look how many times he lost the ball leading to either foul or shot on our goal (eight again pretty poor)
also play where is wally, pause the Tv when borough shoot and play where is KP answer nowhere to be seen.

do those three things and tell me how KP played well?

agree on bera been a hasrh citicte but for me was MOTM BPF also very good (great save on 93 minutes when KP lost his man and nearly cost us the draw)

Berm Will take your word for it. He's more of a harrier gets in opponents faces, has a defensive physical presence. I still liked his performance but can see a red card coming his way soon.

Many psychologists argue that we make our minds up about people in the first 5 mins and then spent the rest of the time justifying it! It feels a bit like that with Bermondsey and KP. I’ve been going through the ratings for Phillips from different websites and haven’t found one under 7 yet, when other players from the team were getting 4 5 and 6s . Your view is perfectly valid Bermondsey but at least accept that it isn’t shared by lots of other people, including Bielsa! I believe you said that Phillips would cost us against the top teams, well tonight he didn’t . What cost us tonight is the attacking members of the team weren’t able to replace the skill and guise of Hernadez!

not sure spanish if our attackers were off or if borough are that good. this is a team that has not coneeded since first game of the season when you could argue the team had not gelled. I don't think anyone can argue our attacking play was not good, however it is up for debate if that was because our forwards were poor or if because broiguh where very strong. thruth often lies in the middle although i lean towards broogu hbeing very strong.

also Phillips was one of my fav players when he broke through maybe i am dissapointed as i hoped for better and set unrealistic expectatiosn? I will admit i get stuck on certain points and must just be focusing on the bad as everyone else can not be wrong but for me he is never better than 5 out of ten and that clearly can't be the case, i must be baised against him for some reason, was the same with neil killkenny who i never saw play well for leeds.

Bermondsey, very fair post! In the two games against Preston and Middlesbrough, I thought we really missed Hernandez. He is such a thinking footballer. Bielsa was so right when he talked about him. He can make something happen. When he is playing with Saiz, it gives the other team more to think about and both of them get more space. Without him, they can focus much more on Saiz and he finds it harder.
Last night we sent a lot of high balls in which their defenders possibly through height as much as ability were able to knock back. We missed that killer pass to unlock the defence on the ground.

But as you say, I don’t think this Borough side are going to concede a lot of goals this year or get beaten very often.

One more comment on Phillips, not sure what the alternatives are, Bielsa would have had a look at all the possibilities and it really seems to be that KP is his man. So let’s hope he gets better and better in his role!

On your next fave topic after KP, Millwall! I’m starting to think that the next game might be a defining moment of our season! All Leeds fans will know that this is the kind of game we can and often lose, even when doing better in other games. So imagine if we can go and really see them off! Then we will have shown we can compete against the best and deal with the nasty nigglers and it will be a good warm up before getting our revenge against Preston!

Thanks Spanish I agree,

I think KP is our best option (until forshaw comes back) but just don't get the love in, George knows football and said KP was defensive rock yet in the whole game he only made one successful tackle, billy will be turning in his grave.

now Spanish turning to my next fav topic millwall. there are a few things in our favour

millwall have a lot of players injured, they have just lost their best player saville (who I love) to borough and they are in poor form, however we tend to bottle it there, have not won there in years and they have a better head to head record over the years

my conclusion. leeds will lose, this has nothing to do with Saiz, or pablo, or MB or my mate Phillips. leeds are 100% going to lose put money on it. because I will be there and I am cursed!

A crowde area, Ayala gets a header at the far post it’s KP fault! It was a routine save by the way . BPF makes 2 saves all game, One routine, catches a few crosses and is MOM! It seems you’ve set the bar much lower for him, come BE what has KP really done that you’ll watch a game and only watch his movement, passes etc lol.

BPF did everything well last night, some commanding catches against a big bully team so that is 10/ 10. and all saves he made well, not sure the save at the end was routine as BPF had to track the whole goal to make the save at speed due to speed of cross.

reason I watched KP all game (twice) is because I am honestly miffed about how most fans see him. I have had many in depth conversations on many sites. It seems 20% agree with me he is at worst 1/ 10 and at best 4/ 10 but our worst player. 65% fans think he is great with the rest sitting in between.

I have never known a player to devide fans so much and to such a great range (from some loving him and saying very important to me honestly can not stand him, he is that bad in my opinion) .

As a result I watched him, paused the game and wrote down everything he did (sad I know, obessive I know, if it helps I do hate myself) from watching him and analysing everything he did I made him useless last night although he did two very good things. I honestly did this to see if people agree, not to be awakard but just to see. He made two bad errors, poor success rate with forward passes (19% success when ball moved forward) he lost 98% of headers and duels (only completeing one successful dribble, one successful header (was very important header though) and one successful tackle) . these are all stats, in my opinion the game passed him by and he was nowhere offensively (as stats back up) and awful defensivley (as stats back up) and in my opinion poor (as stats back up) yet most on here said he was good last night. I am just miffed, either I am being too harsh with otehr 20% or the 65% and not really watching his game and being fooled by couple of wonder passes (he made two amazing passes) and lots of sideways passes? almost bored myself with it now, as I know I have most others on here. but I am still miffed by the KP phenonimnon.

Berm KP is more of a guard or screen in front of the back 4. He's an effective defensive presence. No Batty but he's certainly improved and is facilitating our overall play.
