I'm from south and take offense to generalisations!
Millwall supporters are obviously delusional and soft. But not a whole south problem.
We don't want to start insulting eachother cause where we are born.

You're right Aus. We should only insult on merit.

Sorry Aus in the perfect world you are right. But its not so you are wrong. The south have always slagged northerners off so its not a one way thing. London is London, not sure you can call it south anymore, thinks its its own state.

I'm also from diwn south, Sussex to be precise. I get the stigma from northerners to southerners and so on. But when I hear Us Leeds fans slag off southerners, I don't class myself In the same bracket. As I am Leeds through and through, even though I'm not from there.

Equally, my first post on this site was after a holiday where a leeds fan from Leeds called me a southern winker when I was wearing my leeds top (In front of my 9 year old daughter) . I asked everyone then whether "northerners" (As you just phrased it) had a problem with people from the south. I was assured at the time that there was no prejudice. But comments on here seems to suggest there is a bigger problem than I thought? Shame, my mum was Leeds born and bred, but I was born elsewhere. Am I not worthy of the LUFC badge then?

Oh I could give way better than I get chaps.
But above silly comments on birth place.
It should be on merit George. You are right.

i have never found it to be honest and always welcome at leeds. some notherners/ leeds fans might be predudist but then same with all fans. Most annoying thing i get is you don't go to the game when i see most games on TV which is a far better way to judge a game due to replays and commentary over fans shouting.

football is treatorial butif you're leeds your leeds no matter where you live, you don't chose leeds leeds choses you.

Stood with away Leeds fans a number of times apart from being told that I speak very posh I have never had any problems at all or at any time been questioned on being from down south .
If that was the case then really some people need to grow up, a Leeds fan is a fellow brother or sister in my book .

Southern Softie just re read your post. I’d like to think that it was the Leeds so called supporter who called you a winker who in fact himself is a proper winker. It proves that no matter where you are from you can always be a winker!

Tha might be from darn south and like a shandy or two on a weekend and still be int dark ages when it comes to putting summat moist on ya fish and derks like mushy peas or gravy (ooow I love gravy) but tat end of day your still leeds fans n that, ll ding dang do for me. Next time ya up at Mecca (elland road) I'll teach ya by taking ya tut peacocock for a man's drink ( no lemonade allowed) then over tut gravleys for fish n derks with mushys all over em. Is it date my southern muckers?

Clearly any Leeds fan not born in Yorkshire is just a Yorkshireman trapped in another persons body - not your fault is it but clearly you have seen the error of your ways and returned to the (white) light so all is forgiven and I welcome you as a brother or sister. We forget that not everyone is lucky enough to be born here in Gods Own Country but all are welcome at the cathedral called Elland Road.

I forget my original point but anyway one for all and all for one etc etc.

I’m off to have a wink.

Ha ha ha great post Martyn tha knows, i'm a bit confused as i lived in Scarborough North Yorkshire most of me life, but I was born in Birmingham and now living darn sarf so guess i'm an adopted Yorkshireman! I still don't like getting a round in so that definitely makes me at least part yorkshire! 😃 MOT me fellow leeds brothers! 3-1 to the mighty whites tonight with Tyler to get a much needed goal 😎.

Gee there are some gentle souls on here. North south rivalry hasbeen there for centuries. No one is saying we hate all southerners get a grip. I spent ten years of my life working down south from Sheerness, Gillingham, Battersea along to Yeovil, Kidderminster and Weymouth. I can guarantee you every pub i went in had some guy making a sarcastic comment or joke about northerners but after 8 or 9 pints it made no difference. I did not start a rally against southern prejudice in fact i left new friends in each town. I understand you guys are proud to be from the south but i am just as proud to be from the north. Leeds fans are welcome from anywhere we are happy you have seen the light. But come on there is always going to be rivalry but its not a personal thing.

Well I’m from Southampton area. Always been a Leeds supporter since I knew what a football was, around 1970. I don’t drink at all. So I’m a proper southern softie. But I’m a very proud lufc fan and wouldn’t have it any other way.
