Surely someone like Vorm is our answer. Talented, experienced and (for us) the right side of 30. We only need him for a year (2 tops) Then BPF/ Huffer will be one year older and, if loaned out, one year more experienced. By which time Vorm will have done a job for us (thank you) and BPF will be ready to slot back in.

NB. for Vorm insert any 30 something (quality) Premier 2nd/ 3rd string.

35 the right side of 30? Getting close to his sell by date.

I’d take him Martyn. I have no faith in BPF. I hate knocking a young player but he’s not up to it. It’s been mentioned if he can sort out his positioning on crosses and free kicks. It’s also been mentioned if he can command his penalty area more. These things can be coached and learned eventually but what can’t be teached is to stop a shot and the lad has weak wrists. Too often he has got a hand to a shot and still the ball hits the net. Like I say I hate saying it again and I hope the lad proves me wrong but I just can’t see it.

I'd go for Joe Hart you don't become a bad keeper overnight, ex Man City, ex England and he did the Head and Shoulders ad.

Preston have already tried for Hart. I think if Hart put his inflated ego aside then he would be a decent loan signing for a Championship club.

Might be 35 Martyn but we only need him for a year and as much as a teacher as a goalkeeper.
