I thought we played quite well overall yesterday but I can say that about most teams in the championship at times. The big issue is translating that into chances and being able to convert them into goals. That's the main difference between middle order teams and those that get promotion. In previous weeks we could easily dropped six or more points but we scraped through at the end when teams were more fatigued. What didn't happen was that we went two down with deflected goals and two mistakes by Jansson in quick succession. We didn't lose as many fifty challenges and the opposition didn't run out of steam. Referees are always a bit iffy. What it did expose yet again was when we get into the final third the three main providers simply were not good enough about making opportunities. Hernandez was well off his game - probably not fit after Rotherham. Harrison does not usually contribute - one assist all season. Roberts is not good enough. The pair of them might have potential but they are not there yet, particularly Harrison. We scored again at the death and in previous weeks that would have been enough to get at least a point. We need too many chances to score and we are not creating enough in the first place. This sort of result was bound to happen and if you look at the results in 2019 they are not that great. Clarke made a difference yesterday and ironically I think he will do better against the better teams. Against lesser teams the will double up on him with a packed defence and try to bully him. He was a different player yesterday with more one on ones. He was poor against Rotherham. We should have to rely on him. I like Alioski as a full/ wing back he offers more than Douglas at the moment. Later on in the game yesterday, when he was pushed forward to accommodate Douglas and give us more options, he returned to his previous un productive self. I don't rate him much as a winger. We have struggled for a while once we get into the final third I think Bielsa will have his work cut out sorting the out wide situation and number 10. Interesting to see what happens at Middlesborough.

Well summed up hesslian1, we’ve known about the Harrison and Alioski issues and their shortfalls for a while now. Alioski works hard, if he would just stay on his feet instead of throwing himself to the ground, no ones buying it. Harrison is not good enough and IMO gets game time because we have no or little other options, this comes back to my point we’ve known for a while and should have done something about it in transfer window.

Aaron Lennon will always get respect of Leeds fans but being honest we should be looking at better players unless he can play now like he was when we sold him.

Pretty much agree Hess. Players who we rely on were not at the races and players we know are not up to it, proved it. Clarke certainly is one to watch but as yet is only ready for a second half appearance. We need to get back to the Revie way and be far more clinical with the ball and cut out our silly mistakes.

Yep Gilesy, I thought Roberts was very effective in the first half, and gets better every time I see him play. Starting to look a good investment now.
