Douglas, Foreshaw and Clarke look like they are the only players who missed Wednesday night and are not with U23's tonight. Think Foresaw and Clarke are not that far away, hope Douglas will be getting close also. Full squad for the run in would be great news.

Under 23s just about do enough to beat Notts County 2-1 and get three valuable points in the premier league cup. Taking the leaf out of the first team in the nit so good ways, dominated the game, loads of attempts in goal, conceded from a set piece, albeit a good one and hanging on in the final minutes!
Beradi and Dallas played around 30 mins. Brown and Roberts the full 90. Roberts had enough chances to have got a double hat trick and blazed them all over the top!

Brown some nice touches, don’t know if it’s just me but looks knackered towards the end of games but then produces some of his best touches. Leif Davis had a strong game, as did Robbie Gotts, Stevens started well but faded a bit. Struick is benefiting from a good run in the team and looking much more solid.

Nice to see Bailey back in goal and making some good stops. Really should have won this by about 5 clear goals!

Thanks Spanish for another excellent post, unable to get there this evening hope to get to next match on Monday. Looks like everyone needs intense shooting/ finishing practice along with first team so we can finish teams off early.

Not sure how it will effect Roberts, to be fair he got into some good positions but the shooting. High and over every time and the others started to catch the bug! A bit ironic that the winning goal was a scrappy, poked in goal by Edmondson! They all count, don’t need to be spectacular just get the bloody ball in the net!

I always think that Roberts plays as if he's in a training match or friendly, not as if 3 points are at stake. Do think the lad may have some talent but he appears lazy!

Mezzer, you are right, it’s a sort of relaxed and laid back style. To be fair, he worked pretty hard last night, but seriously the finishing. Around 6 shots all looking more like rugby conversions .

Brown has a similar laid back style as well.

Just a thought. I wonder what goes through the mind of Tyler Roberts? After having two attempts and both soaring way over the bar. You and I would say, Right, next time I must NOT lean back. I must keep it down. What does he do, next attempt, lean back, row Z (car park actually) . Does he not learn?

Roberts is the kind of player we can't afford at this time of the season. We can't wait for his finishing to be "worked on" in the first team, he needs to be doing this in the under23's but clearly isn't learning.
