Dan James is making himself a laughing stock with his comments today about his contract. For one, why is he even contemplating signing after the way Swansea treated him in January.
And two,
All this rubbish about wanting to take Swansea to premier league blah blah. That didn't seem to be his intention when he was waiting at Elland Road that Wednesday night to sign. Glad we didn't sign him as he's mentally weak.

To be fair he is over a barrel somewhat. he is saying what all players say in his position and the only things he can say really if he a) wants to keep getting picked b) doesn't want dogs abuse from his own fans and team c) is a professional

he has no pre-contract agreed with us as far as i know and a transfer at the end of the season is far from certain so he would be a first class idiot to burn his bridges with his current employer right now which his agent and common sense will not be advising him to do.

What do you expect him to say to the press?
"I am glad I haven't signed my contract yet, it means that Leeds can come in for me and offer a pittance, knowing that the owners were willing to sanction my leaving in January"

Nah
He has just flat-batted a question regarding his contract by putting the onus on the club and his agent. …. he wants the contract sorted out. At no point has he said he wants to SIGN a new contract



From Leeds' point of view, if they go up will they be looking at James in the summer.
Bowen of Hull is doing very well and a relocation isn't a million miles for him.
Wilson of Liverpool's being touted and he seems to be a more effective player.
Harrison is slowly but surely getting better and he is a known quantity to the coaches
And from Spanish's texts I think there may be a couple of U23s that might not be too far off James in their ability.

I'd rather have the lad from Ull anyway, he's a bit more polished and he's playing under the second best manager in the Championship 🙂.

Slough Think you'll find James and his agent are playing the game with Hull. Smacks of setting them up for the double cross. They'll retaliate for January's debacle and not sign in my opinion. James will get his PL move in the summer. Just hope it's to us for more reasons than one.
