I think it's worth a moment to reflect on the minimum achievement of a playoff place. Most of the posters on here would have settled for that this year and some didn't think it was possible. Good to be at this stage of the season and still have two paths to promotion open to us! Not only have we done that but we have done it by playing at times, some of the best football in the division. It has been a tremendous season. Loved the team celebrations of Bamfords goals on Tuesday, they summed up the team spirit that has got us to this point. All of the players made an extra point of showing how delighted they were for him.

5 more cup finals, three of them at home and on paper the easiest two away. That's the opportunity!

Well said Spanish. You are on the money as usual and I totally agree. Have you seen the vlog online with a certain Jon parkin in with the Leeds fans on Tuesday night. Worth a watch and they admitted best away fans. Let's keep behind the team win/ lose, promotion or not. Either way I am looking forward to the next season for the first time in 15 plus years.

v good point Spanish however human nature takes over at some point and no matter what you have some want more. You are quite right To be where we are was undreamed of, preseason but now I want Auto. I wouldn't go so far as saying anything less is failure but my poor heart is dreading the lottery of the playoffs. Even these last few games could do for me.
Very few teams appoint a new manager and obtain this miraculous turnaround within one season. I too am eagerly anticipating next season (and the close season in between) although being a Leeds supporter I am constantly looking over my shoulder for the next catastrophe to strike. Biting my nails and lighting candles.

leodis it is all relative to the season we've had. if we had been battling between 5th and 10th all year playoffs would be seen as a great result but since we led the pack at Christmas and are in with a real shot at auto we would be disappointed with anything less. At the start of the season playoffs sound great but not when you have been top for months.

Hope is a wonderful thing especially when you can't actually effect what happens.
