Daniel James reportedly the subject of £15m interest from Manchester United.

Radz only needed to get a mill and half out of his pocket and we maybe would have had auto promotion or we could have doubled that 15m, IMO.

Absolute tosh, their chairman at the time pulled out of deal that we agreed with their owners and that’s why he resigned after because the owners were going to sack him for going against their instructions.

Got that right Martyn.

Bang right Martyn!

Huw Jenkins pulled the deal because Swansea were not going to receive any money till the summer on an inital loan deal for 1.5 million that we would pay at the end of season had we paid the 1.5 instead of haggling, the deal MAY, not definite, of happened, he got sacked and now he’s worth an extra 5-10 million mmmmmmmm.

Martyn True but as Chairman he still wielded power. That fact was ignored by Radz. Had Radz done something to placate Jenkins (money up front) he'd probably be our player. Ignoring a chairman of a company, especially a football club not wise. Now James will play for our arch enemy.

Although we probably don't know exactly what happened, why did we leave it till late in the Window to go for the deal if Bielsa had informed the powers that be that James was his main target, and would the deal have got done if Radz had been prepared to pay some cash upfront instead of trying to delay payments.

Agreed George Radz playing silly buggers thought he was in car supermarket looking at 5 year old astra.

George

Wex

What absolute tosh

What information do you have that Radz was playing a game?

Sounds like you were there
Sounds like you have his confidence

All more mortals know is that James was at Elland Road
And an original loan had been agreed
And Jenkins pulled the plug
And he resigned straight after
And Radz had no say in that last bit

I bet you believe in the Lich Ness Monster too.

axa to above post, point is do you have any information that it didn’t, so that’s a load of air or in your case tosh, what we have is Radz couldn’t come up. With 1 mill in time, that’s true.

Axe I already have a view formed about you. It is not complimentary. Try not to vex me. There's a good lad.

For all Radz protestations. He made two fundamental errors . Firstly he over negotiated on the James deal leaving himself open to Jenkins going back on it . Potentially costing him £100’s of millions in the Prem if DJ would have made the difference he was expected to by MB . Secondly, as others have said he took it to the wire of deadline day with no alternatives to play for . All in all negligent, reckless and down right stupid! Radz happy to translate that for you into Chinese if it helps!

RHC Top man. Radz wasn't playing a game (Never said he was) . He was ignoring what Jenkins was doing. Radz whistled in the dark. Now us fans get to pay the price for his lack of (monetary up front) vision. Yet Radz knows all about (tele) vision rights, doesn't he? How did that work out again?

George

Could you just explain how your view on me has any relevance to the thread?
Or are you just happy to take personal potshots once you haven't got a decent thing to write?

I have no wish to "vex" you. Trust me, I am too interested in Al's and Spanish's intelligent texts to be concerned with vexing a contributor that I tend to pass over.

George - petulant personal digs at other posters do nothing to benefit this forum as a whole or the community's opinion of those who make them. Obviously you're not the only one, but it saddens me to see the strains and stresses of our downturn in fortune have such an effect on your contribution to this site. I think most on here used to look out for your posts as on the whole they added value to ongoing discussions. Sadly, at the moment, the perfectly valid points you are making are too often lost among the vitriol. I look forward to the time when your input returns to the previous quality.

The same applies to several other posters, so can we drop the petty squabbles and concentrate on reasoned and reasonable discussion. All points of view are valid so let's not attribute certain lines of thought to personal weaknesses of character etc. We all want success for out club.

If we must have vitriol, can't we save it for THE PROVEN LIAR FAT FRANK and his team of whinging cheating preening prima donnas and the powers that be (EFL and FA) ALAW MOT.

Clueless You're right and therefore not clueless! I've been a little excessive. We ought to be fighting Derby, not each other but what do you want us to fight with? Dallas? Harrison?

Clueless

Thank you for being that mirror

George
I apologise whole heartedly. My behaviour has been less than I would have wanted.
I believe we are destined to never agree, but it doesn't detract from the fact you are as avid (if not more so) supporter of Leeds United and I am.
