Clearly Pablo does not have the legs for a full Championship season. He should be carefully managed next year whether that is to play him lightly thro the season or bench him for the first half and only play him for the crunch back end. We may even be pleasantly surprised is some of the U23s step up and do a job or even if we get a Pablo/ Saiz clone on loan from somewhere. Either way, as this years so nearly attempt showed, we do not need major surgery the recruitment of one or two (top quality) should suffice, along with the inclusions from the U23s.

Pablo needs to retire and take a coaching role.

Largely agree Leodis. Pablos reaction after Wigan, Brentford and Derby said a lot to me. It showed how much it meant to him. Each year it gets harder to put your body through it, more so with Bielsa. For him this was probably the final chance to finish in the premiership. Squad player with some coaching involvement could be the way forward for me. When we really needed him to be the Pablo we worship, he couldn’t do it and I think that hurt him even more than it has hurt the fans. Not easy to recover from that.

One of our top scorers, and assisters, creating more chances than some of the top players in Europe!? Pablo will play a key role next year, as he has this. He just needs the back up to give him recovery time. Immense this season!
