We need to improve on our weaknesses from last season. Our biggest weakness was converting chances and possession. We need players who can turn possession into good chances, can take on defences with pace and put in decent crosses and we need strikers who will convert these chances. For me if we bring in 4 players it would be 2 wingers a number 10 and a striker . If we are to bring in more than 4 I would then strengthen other parts of the team. If we had of replaced Saiz, Baker and had 2 better loans than Harrison and Browne we would have won the League.

1970 Way we play and way opposition sets up against us (going on second half of last season when our style of play was the cat out of the bag) we mainly create numerous half chances with a few clear ones every game. Nothing wrong with that so long as you have a couple of clinical forwards who can finish off virtually all the clear ones and some of the half chances. Bamford and Roofe will have their injuries and dips in form so can't see either getting the 25 goals apiece needed. If funds aren't there to improve the attack too much, I'd actually go the other route. I'd shore up the defence and aim to keep clean sheets. Think what a Westwood and a no-nonsense tough, agile and reliable central defender would do for us? Every single Leeds fan knows in heart of hearts Cooper ain't good enough to lead and to lead us to automatic promotion. Every single Leeds fan knows Casilla needs replacing. Upgrade what you can is my message to Radz. The rest might take care of itself especially if you actually play Shacks and introduce Bogusz, Gotts, Edmonton and co.

Crosses will often have limited value when teams have 11 back defending against our possession game.
Will be good on the quick break so will be valuable then but for me a bigger need are players who will have a go at defenders in crowded spaces.
Take players on at pace. If you beat your man, great, if he fouls you, great, if you lose possession no big deal as long as you get one of the first two options a good percentage of the time.

In an ideal world George we would do both. Last season Norwich and Sheff Utd converted roughly 17% of their chances we only converted 7% of our chances. Maybe only 3 attackers and 1 defender would be a compromise. Think young Halme coming through might find it easier to get up to the standard than the younger attackers of whom Bogusc is one of the most highly thought of. Our biggest weakness was not scoring enough from our chances, although conceding soft goals was the other.

i still think our biggest weakness was defence, how many times did we conceed 3 or more, how many times did 10 men put one past us, how many times did teams who could not buy a win beat us due to goals conceeded.

Scoring goals is great but teams that scrap wins and are hard to beat go up from our leage.
