So who is to blame? Rad, Bielsa or the players? Is it because Rad didn't invest in January even though he was paying 11 mill for James? Bielsa because he likes a small squad and only wanted James brought in? Or did the players mess it up because they bottled it?

Lots of questions but no concrete answers to be fair. Injuries to Roofe and Bamford long term were killer blows in my book especially because they were our only two frontline strikers. It's a crying shame because imo we were the best side on any given day. Roll on next season because we are going to smash it!

Everyone was to blame! Share the responsibility, try to learn from it and move on . Radz needs to learn, Bielsa understand the league more and be open to change and the players need to step up and take responsibility for taking the chances and closing down key games.

Really don’t think they bottled it Corky. Just that, as you say, critical injuries, at bad times cost us, and we ran out of steam. This year!

That's the spirit Cork. No one person is wholly responsible. Collective responsibility for numerous Cock ups of varying degrees. As you say, let's focus on taking it to them next season. MOT.

Never understood why teams wait till deadline day to do a deal, if in early to mid Jan MB had identified James then go and get him, if it falls through then there's time to go for someone else.

I always find in such situations that the blame is not easily apportioned. There are a few who should hold there hands up, including the three you have named.

Do not think it is about laying blame but learning from it. Strikers for me were poor. Bamford showed no passion or aggression and he needs to bring that to the table next season. Roofe was adequate and worked well within the team but i reckon the way we were playing Grot would have been in double figures and a proper front man in the 20+ bracket. Still not convinced Roofes best role is lone striker. Defence at times were all over the place. Set pieces and runners from wide areas caused us problems. Not enough cover at back for injuries having to play wingers as full backs, full backs and midfielders as center backs that always causes problems. I would have liked to have kept Coyle, Pearce and Nessie at home as they were needed.
Our style of play had everyone on the backfoot but as the season wore on the teams set up to thwart us but we did not change style to counter them, although if we had taken all our chances it would not have mattered. Think we need to learn how to close a game down, Derby one a prime example. Nice to see attacking exciting football but sometimes you need Mr Ugly to get on the ball and rattle some bones, especially in important games.

Richie that the way Radz dose his work then if it don’t go through he blames the players or other chairman for pulling out of the deal, Great really make him look good.

I think the problem is Radz, doesn't seem to want to spend a penny if he can avoid it. For me, that's why we missed out on James in January.
