I think the best bit about the transfer window so far is that they getting rid of what's not wanted policy. Whether we wanted them to stay or not is irrelevant. if Bielsa don't want them then it looks like they are out. Fair enough!
What I don't get is that folk seem happy with the incomings and Phil Hay says that's about us done. So far we have added some more young guns into the u23' and from last years main squad and we have added a v young c half in white and the winger Costa. that's it! Do you think MB will get the same out of the players this season than he did last season?
I can't see it personally. It was remarkable what they achieved last year and I loved watching some great football played.
Do you think we will be that much better by adding just 2 players?
And Remember all the championship teams now know how we play.
I think not.
I Think to be even better we need 2 more to really freshen it all up. And also need 2 or 3 from the u23s to really be pushing hard for a starting place. Will any? Shacks definitely will but who else? Any ideas Spanish?
And of course it goes without saying we must not sell any of our 1st teamers.
Then i think we will be good enough to get promoted.

Phil yes I think some U23's will step up and maybe MB thinks that as we. For me, think we still need 2 in, a no.9 and no.10.

Phil

Dont be despondent

We had the 3rd best squad in the Championship last year (at one stage it was undoubtedly the top squad in the league)

From that squad we have only sold 1 player. And joy of joys, we have loaned him back.

To that squad we have added a hugely well regarded attacking player, with an impressive track record in this league.

To me, those are the facts

Journalists have to make a living, just like you and I. So rumours that Phillips is wanted. Rumours that Jansson is having a strop. Rumours that a mega bid is in the air for Roofe (our shot-shy 15 goal centre forward) are just that, rumours.

As it stands we have an improved squad from that of last season

Let me put a positive spin on it

Pontus has a strop every year. He is the sort of guy that needs to be told he is needed. We will always read this sort of stuff about him, but it doesn't mean he want to go

Phillips is a Leeds lad. Come up thro the ranks. Was an average player until he was given the opportunity to work with a world class coach. He is now worshipped by the fans of his boyhood club. Wow. He know Biesla will be gone next year. Why would he not want to squeeze all the knowledge whilst he can?

Roofe must know he has had an average season. He will see his stats. He will know he has to improve his finishing. At Leeds he knows he is going to be given that chance. A big money move heaps the pressure on him to perform and he may be dropped quickly and labelled a flop

Our only transfer out, Clarke, comes straight back. He has been advised very well

On other rumours, Saiz is still here. I know he may want to go home but if no one is coming in for him then he needs to run his contract down. And there is no point in that if he isn't going to up his performances to put himself in the shop window

Forshaw is still here and a very able central midfield option

And finally
Last years loans were Harrison Blackman, Baker and Brown. So far we have a year old, wiser, fitter Harrison, Clarke and Costa. To me this is a huge improvement.

Axe, you are so on form, that hot tub is recharging all your batteries and so! This year, no doubt in my mind that we start stronger, better loans, a key attacking edition, Shackleton and Clarke starting the year with much greater expectations. Better loans. Under 23s closer, particularly, Struick, Stevens, Kun and Bogusz. I would expect to see those four getting some time preseason.
