It's a fresh start, clean slate, new season, I think Bamford given positive encouragement from the stands on match days will grow in confidence this term. Shame to hear he was been barracked by our own supporters during York game.

Bamford hasn't performed in 3 or more seasons. He's a prima Donna who has done well for himself by doing very little.

bamford not the best but also is not the worst

he is decent but gets stick because he is posh and ain't leeds. i don't get it. i don't care where a fella comes from they are . lucas was from south africa but leeds through and through

i feel for bamford.

Good stats. And there was a period when he was fit last season when he was very good. If he stays fit he’s a very good championship striker.

Lee Chapman wasn’t the greatest player ever but we won a league title ( the last real one) bouncing the ball off him

Bamford has a good conversion rate and if fit Bielsa can make him a better player.

Personally I am with bermo on this one. I think people have an issue with the man, not the football player.

Wax, if Bamford is crap in your view, then so must Roofe be, as Bamford's goal per minutes played is slightly better and their shot percentage on target is apparently the same and they both had two assists - and without the injuries, either of them would probably (given their respective scaring rates) been the much vaunted '20 goals a season striker' which some on here contend neither of them to be.

I don't think either is crap, but Bamford is more infuriating because his natural ability was probably better than Roofe's so it just feels like he should be doing so much better than he is. I guess that Roofe's greater overall work rate gets him the higher credibility among many of our fans.

I hope that you hope Bamford makes you eat your words (with your contention that he 'will be crap) - I certainly do. It is just possible he may have a very good season this year.

I honestly don’t think Bamford gets stick because he is posh, is he? Or because he’s not from Leeds. Perhaps Hernandez is posh, certainly not from Leeds, but fans player of the season for 2 years! I think it’s about commitment, behaviour and performance! Bamford still needs to prove himself on all 3. But I never believe we should be targeting our own players, counter productive!

Bamford has failed on those 3 points with his last few clubs. Why will we be any different. And Axe I just support Leeds and want better for the club and team. I'm guilty of wanting better.

Wex, the difference is a full preseason with Bielsa, let’s see if that has an impact, if it doesn’t he might not be playing much!

Everybody wants better Wex it’s not only you but that includes Radz, Orta and Bielsa as well. No one bought Bamford in order to waste 8 million or to make our performance worse! It might not just be you who wants the best for the club, people just have different ideas how to achieve it!

It's a privilege to banter with you, knowing that as opposite we are in our views, however contentious our replies to each other get, we both still want the same result

I just can't find it in me to slag off a working man. Bamford might not be a world beater but I trust everyman in wanting to take pride in whatever job he does.

True Spanish he do t get stuck I. Here for being posh but this is a good site he gets stick else where for it

He is very posh I know hi ts cousin very well her dad use to own Nottingham forest and he has a degree and can play violin so pretty posh

I also know top people at borough very well they really rated him but he had a row with Pulis over pre season training but the board loved him I wouldn’t be surprised if he went back to borough.

He can go back to Boro. once he has scored 30 goals this coming season, and helped us to promotion as Champions.

I have no ill feelings towards the guy, but I just have this inkling that his level is the Championship. I don't see him as being fast enough for the Premiership, or strong enough, or technical enough. Very similar to Marcis Gayle in many ways.

Doing well for us will only increase his resale value, increasing the pot for a higher class striker to keep us in the Prem.

i agree i think he is decent at this level and always good for 15 goals if played and fit but he ain't prem and hopefully this time next year we will be.
