Not the start to first quarter of the season hoped for.
Injuries already, players being used to fill gaps out of position, very poor goal conversion return for possession and dominance.

But there are few first team players who are performing well - Bamford, Costa, Klitch, Casilla, Harrison, Douglas (never lived up to expectations) . WHY is that?

Klich I put down to fatigue. A player should be able to play a full season to a high level of physical performance but Klich has been ever present in a high intensity/ press system. Klich would benefit from squad rotation. Bamford has never been a consistent goal scorer therefore he is probably performing well in his mind and now seems to have a metal block when it comes to goal scoring however we need and paid for a goal scorer, poor recruitment in my eyes. Harrison is an enigma with his reputation being highly inflated by Guardiola. If Pep thinks so highly of Harrison why is he not in the Man City squad? Answer: he is not at that level but Man City see sell on potential. Douglas has not been the same player who was tearing it up for Wolves and we appeared to get a bargain price when we signed in, possibly a physical issue there. Casilla has pedigree but that has been earned sat on his backside for Real Madrid, different challenges in Spanish football compared to English second tier. Costa, for me, needs the time that has been afforded to Harrison but I am afraid he will not get it when Pablo returns.

douglas is simple he is an attacking full back all about delievery. he has no one to deliever to, same with phillips on corners and free kicks both have top notch deliever but no one to aim it at

harrision i think it is final ball and descion making, can't teach that and sadly i don't think he has got it. should be dropped

klitch is good but fatuige and dip in form. I think many others have figured out what he offers and now work to stop that. once they realised what he was about in MB's team come jan his goals have stopped

bamford is playing very well, he is a flase nine, a poor man firmino and for the level he is playing at he is doing very well. he offers so much, chipped in with few goals. the difference is frimino has salah and mane to get the goals which make up for his lack of them. Bamford is getting no help from our wingers. if they scored a few more people would get off bamfords back and appraicte what he offers. just like fimino

what MB has to do is get our wingers firing. or work out a way for bamford and eddie to work together. trouble is i don't think mb can find answers. he just has a way and hope it works and people don't suss it out

as for the keeper it is his style many like klop and pep like keepers that are of that type, look at bravo, karius and even the city keeper on loan at forest. all simiar to kiko in coming off line and being about feet not hands. sadly to find the answer you need to spend 100 mill on a keeper to get allision or edilison

costa needs a bit of time and has come into a misfring team so give him a chance. i also think costa is better in a direct effective team. not the tippy tappy pointless leeds style we play at the moment.

Notts, I think your right about Bamford having a metal block! In fact he's got two great big lead ones in each foot! 😂😂
Sorry mate, couldn't resist.

Bamford - not a regular goal scorer, needs others to score from the work he does and to supplement his (lack of) goals
Costa - had one decent season in a very good Wolves team, failed to impress last season - I think Wolves were happy to get rid especially for the inflated price tag.
Klitch - gone off the boil or possibly not being played in the right way or with the right players around him. Out of form but we know he can do better.
Casilla - never rated him. Just awful. Average shot stopper but a liability. Has never been 1st choice before.
Harrison - inconsistent. Has flashes of good play every now and again but for every good game he has he has 7 which don't produce anything
Douglas - ravaged by injury, never got his form back and possibly the wrong fit for the style of play we have.
