Bright mentioned stiliyan petrov in a previous post and his battle with sickness cutting short his footballing career.

Which player have you seen whether at Leeds or another club or even in your 5 a side league that has had their career curtailed by bad luck, injuries or sickness?

Cjs of course bridges. Was there at some of the European nights when he started to show his talent. Such a bad run of injuries.

Michael Owen for club and Country how many goals would he have scored if he didn't have strawberry laces for hamstrings.

For us if maybe Cantona or yeboah had got on with the manager how good would they have been!

And muamba at Bolton. Shaping up to be a really good midfielder before he collapsed on the field.

Also I must add on personal level we had a black lad called Sean who I've played with kick around Thursday night with and vets footy with. Best footballer I've played with or against. Could play everywhere. Fast strong. Could slalom through a full team to score.
He had two trials. I think Leicester and Birmingham before each trial he played a Sunday league game. Never was picked up.
Such a waste. I have lost count of the miles on the pitch I ran round trying to get the ball off him.
He tore his achilles an has not played for 2 years.

CJS, good call on Michael Bridges, what a talent, such a pity. Injury robbed both us and England.
