Whatever league we are in next year a change of personnel is called for in some positions. One of these, possibly. is striker? Obviously Plan A would be to go out and buy the best we can afford however may I suggest a Plan B?
If there is real potential in Joseph then can we purchase a stop gap striker, to bring Joseph on whilst mentoring the young lad. There are a few strikers who have proved their worth in the past and still hold a credible threat up front. Danny Ings, Memphis Depay and Calum Wilson are just a few whose contracts are up for renewal next year and due to their age will be easily affordable.

I hear you Leo . they are all good ( ish) players for top 4 Champo definitely. EPL maybe.

but CMs should be scoring a few goals creating quite a lot of goals.

Whilst I agree, in principle, Chris Szmodics stats other than this year are not amazing however while we are on the subject of raiding Blackburn, Tyrhise Dolan looked usefull should we need a winger.

Chris would he genuinely be good enough in EPL.

That Coventry CAM player who was good in Champo who Blades bought last summer isn't pulling up trees in EPL.

Fact of the matter is we didn't have a great window at the start of the year due to the mess the club was in and therefore didn't get the players DF really wanted, including a natubal CAM and a striker. We only moved for Piroe when our other targets fell through. I think we would look to rectify that for next season.

I watched him v Belgium for RoI few weeks back also

He was well able to hold his own,
