Any thoughts on last nights match anybody? Any pluses or minuses?

Alioski roofe, phillips, vieira, okane, ekuban, Pennington all showed positive signs against an overall better team. Looked to me as though the loss of Beattie hasn't helped wood. Negatives for me were green, safe kicks, Bridgett, general awful display, Dallas, weak. These positions are definitely up for grabs and I'd expect to see alioski, wiedewald and klich starting against oxford (klich if fit) . Good to get 2 back after half time, poor to concede 3 before it. Game lost before given any opportunity

Defence still needs some work, first half bridcutt was between the 2 centre backs for at least 50% of it, saiz didn't really do much at all,2nd half much better, alioski gave us an outlet and looks good on the ball, and Phillips (who I wasn't impressed with at all last season did really well and drove us fwd. plenty of positives 2nd half.

Its bridcutt. Our undoing last year and will be this. We must get rid. No coincindence he was on pitch for 0-3!
Shame berahdi didn't get a look in. Good news that generally our mids and attacking mids are looking good. Thanks for report boys.

Bridcutt is awful, likes to play the ball backwards most of the time. I agree with other posts he just doesn't seem to fit into our pattern of playing. Puts our own goalkeeper under too much pressure with his pass backs.

Said it last year and still think the same. Put Okane and Phillips in and we will go forward Play Bridcutt and Dallas and all we get is negative play sideways and back. I also said Phillips will be our best midfielder once he has confidence in himself and still thinks so.

Absolutely agree with you BIGE, Phillips has way more natural ability than Viera. Like you I said last season he is a confidence player, if he starts well he plays well. As he grows into the game he will get over that
