The thing with Bridcutt passing back is that Green is not great on the ground, He may look better with Wieldwald ? Who on first impressions is more of a sweeper keeper rather than a hoofer dooffer

Bridcutt passes back all the time to defenders as well as green. A defensive mf is supposed to help defense. He just puts the whole defense under pressure. All the time. The thing about bridcutt is, he needs to go.

Still think he can do a good job . even if only as a squad player, he made a great impact when he arrived and is the type of player that can add something . That is unless we are going to replace him with someone much better, which I don't think is in the plans . Would sooner have him there even if only to cover injuries and resting tired players over a long season . Think there are a few weaker links in the squad than Brids . That said can understand your reasoning

Aus, I know they are different positions but think I would be looking for players to replace Coops Douks and Ant before Brids, even if he is as poor as you believe, for the central mid role we have Kane, Shaughnessy, Viera Philips Stich and Anita . So unless Brids is really on his game his playing time is going to be limited . You still need a big squad over a full season and Brids has played well for us in the past . If he can return to that level of performance and form he is well worth having in the squad. Monks negative tactics and style of play had a big impact on Bridcutt and as the squad as a whole got tired and their energy levels dropped, they were not able to put in the shift required to play to Monks style . This lead to Brids trying to hold things together and playing the safe option passing back . A player can only perform to the level of the players around him

Agree with PA, Brids looked a better player before Monk came in.
