As always football is a matter of opinion however the makeup of the team is not. We are pretty much the same team as last year. Not talking about how we started last year but how we finished and the multitude of games in between where we had very few shots on target never mind goals. For me Saiz has to play and make a difference. Klich has to get fit and make a difference and Alioski has to live up to the hype. We have the makings bu midfield is weak at the moment and we need a another commanding centre half more striking power up front if we are going to get out of this division.

My thoughts exactly

Its the midfield where we really need to improve. too many games last year we lost the midfield battle and that impacts on the rest of the team. O'Kane should go a long way towards giving us some steel in the middle and he didn't play much last year - Viera will make a difference there too and there is much more and much better to come from the new guys. I wouldn't panic just yet Hess. Besides the team last year weren't too bad last season we just needed a few more to improve in vital areas. I do agree a new centre half is needed.

What makes you say we are pretty much the same team as last season? Allioski and saiz look promising. Reserving judgement on Klich for now. Anita can do a job. BJ looks like he knows what he's doing and adds something to the attack. Ekuban could turn out to be a solid plan B in games. How many players would we need to not be classed as the same team as last year? Still extremely early but from what I've seen the potential is there for me.

Look at the team sheet-starting 11. I am just talking about the current situation. It could improve or not but TC is going for the old hands at the moment. I hope its because the new players are better but TC wants to prove it by giving the original team enough time to show their strengths and weaknesses before making the changes

It's because largely the new guys are not fully fit or not fully adapted to the League. Starting with 6+ new players in the team is a recipe for disaster.

Agree with Alf, I don't think throwing all the new players together on the pitch would be a great idea. Hopefully they'll gradually be played in and make that position their own
