Personally I would give Douk and Roofe a chance to bag some goals before I would bring Mcbadgekisser back. I think both have a great work rate. Douk was really improving last season even though he was playing out of position, he really did look much better. Give him a chance, front and centre and let's see if he can net. He is physically strong and has a great boot.

Roofe is quick and also needs a bit of game time up the middle in order to get firing on all cylinders. Both players will give the opposition plenty to worry about, giving our wider men a chance to slot a few. On the other hand, if we can attract a quality player with strength height and a bucket load of goals in their pocket then even better 👍MOT.

I'd give them both a run against Newport. why not? they should be capable of scoring against them. I like roofe, think he'll turn out well, especially if we are now playing a pacey skilful game now

Douk is a good player to have on the bench and bring on last 25 minutes. He has shown signs of improvement. Roofe too lightweight to play up front. He's doing ok on the wing. I'm surprised no-one is mentioning Dallas for up front. That header was rather good. He could be our false number nine.

Wood would've been proud to score that header. None of this should prevent us from obtaining Lassoga, McBurnie and even Rhodes if the price is right. We are building some team now. We have a strong 18 for match days. Make the right moves in the remaining days of the transfer window and we can win this league.

For me Roofe and Doukara aren't natural strikers, always look a little lost when they play up top. Said last cup game that I would have liked to have seen one of the new youngsters given a run out and I still think it would be a good idea to blood a couple of them if we think they have a long term future at the club. Temenuzhkov maybe still a little young but Siddiki and Balboa are both 19, would expect them to be pushing to get on the bench. With Wood on his way, Ekuban injured, Ant out on loan and a cup match against a lower Lg side I can't think of a better time to find out if they can step up, the rest of the squad should be good enough to see us through regardless.

The new port game gives us a chance to try a few other players from the U 23s. Given the injuries in Saturday we need to be careful and think ahead to the next leaguer game, so we might see some faces who haven't been featuring in the league squads. In terms of new players in, most of the names from the Uk leagues seem overpriced to me, could be that we already have eyes to on other overseas options.
