Revie joined 1961/62 andgave us the all white. 63/64 Div 2 champions. 64/65 2nd Div 1 on goal diff and FA Cup finalists 65/66 2nd Div 1 66/67 4th Div 1 Fairs cup finalists. 67/68 4th Div 1, FA Cup winners, Fairs Cup winners. 68/69 Champions Div 1, 28 games undefeated. 69/70 2nd Div 1 FA Cup finalists, Winners Charity Shield. 70/71 2nd Div 1, Fairs Cup winners, Tinklers year. 71/72 2nd Div 1, FA Cup winners. 72/73 3rd Div 1, FA Cup final, Cup Winners Cup final. 73/74 Champions Div 1. Revie left. 74/75 European Cup Final, Armfield. Now Wilcos top achievers 89/90 Champions Div 2 90/91 4th Div 1 91/92 Champions Div 1, Charity Shield. 92/93 17th, wow underachievement or what, Sold Cantona. 93/94 5th Div 1 94/95 5th Div 1 95/96 FA Cup final. So now can all you who doubted the Revie years bow your heads in shame please. When a manager can spend a decade in the top flight and be involved in all major competitions throughout that period i will then consider him to be as great as Revie and his team on a par with his.

Revie and Wilko were both great managers for the club, however, revie won more than Wilko, but he didn't win as much as he should've, like how many times we were runners up in trophies, when we should've been winning them, hell, we should have the F. A cup like 5 times ahaha.

Delboy you are right we were runners up too much but we were in everything. If we were in final of one you can bet we were in quarters or semis of another. Even with big squads they have now clubs still prioritise what they want to win, something we never did in the Revie era.

I've heard players who played under revie saying it may of been better if they did pick what they wanted to win and go for it.

Bige mate you are bang on. Bermo hasn't got a clue, although he is right when he said Revies team underachieved. However BW is totally wrong putting Revie behind Wilko as you pointed out in your all over the place list! Two things Bige. what's Tinklers year? Mark Tinkler? And 1996 was the league cup final against Villa not FA Cup. Ill never forget that one, cost me nearly 4 grand! Great post though.

Right on both counts Corky, Mark Tinkler the ref and it was League cup poor performance that day.

Think the ref was RAY Tinkler, young Mark Tinkler played for us in the Prem . jus saying
