Unfortunately a number of players are reverting to type. We have already had Cooper, now Phillips. He goes missing too often, is reckless and lacks a bit of vision. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when the Phillips/ O'Kane combination did so well earlier in the season. I have never thought of Phillips as one of our front line midfielders as I have often said but was prepared to think I had not seen what others had. However, his partnership with O'Kane is now looking a bit inept. I have thought that Vierra and O'Kane might be an option but perhaps a bit defensive. Vierra and Klich might prove a better or even O'Kane and Klich. This idea is not just because of the recent results more a longer term view of our mid field options. The teams we have beaten have let us play or we have managed to hang on. We even struggled against Sunderland early on. We could have lost against a ten man Preston. Birmingham nearly came back from the dead. Forest was a close run affair. We hung on against Ipswich and even Bolton almost grabbed point. Burton we hammered but then so has everyone else. TC has a lot to think about over the next couple of weeks. Interesting how he sorts this glitch in the system.

Not sure I agree about being lucky v Bolton, Forest, Birmingham and Sunderland. We deserved to win all these games. Didn't Wendies just lose to Birmingham? That must mean they're a crap team. Aren't Boro below us after spending £45m? Must mean they're crap too. Didn't Blunts lose to Forest? Well they're crap too then.

I didn't say we lucky just that we could have dropped points. It was not cut and dried. Teams at the bottom end of the table have pushed us. However I do realise that this is championship football.

Every team plays the same 23 sides. Didn't Fulham lose to Burton and they're supposedly the best team in the league. Wendies lost to Birmingham who conceded 6 to Hull, who conceded 5 at Derby. It's an odd league. It's not as cut and dried as, "you can only beat the bottom teams".
