I am fully aware he’s a free agent but he’s going to be paid at the going rate not a meat pie contact, why do we need another keeper when we already have others who aren’t being played, my point is why did we sale Green, bring in Lons and not use him, we are supposed to be building a team for the premiership if that the case we should have signed someone with the experience who commands the box and has confidence to run the back four and can stay in their position for a two to three years to see us through the early days in the premiership (Or longevity)

Totally agree Whiteman and I’m all honesty the whole keeper situation at Elland Road has baffled me since day one! At the start of last season Green never made as many mistakes as Felix and Green always looked more comfortable with general crosses and through balls than Felix does! In all honesty I think the goalkeeper is out of his depth, but I hope he proves me wrong as we all want success. Really good post mate. MOT

The fact is wield should nit have been bought. Green should have kept his place and either a good up and coming should have been bought or thingy should have got his chance. Green far better

It could start to become a matter of principal. Orta identified Wielwald as the first choice keeper and TC made him first choice at the cost of Green. Now that the keeper is not performing is the management team humble enough to admit their mistake and make the change or will they continue on the same path to try and prove their original selection correct ? Wielwald may still come good but the flaws in his game are obvious to layman like ourselves therefore they must be obvious to opposition managers and represent a weakness to exploit.

I agree that Green is a better keeper. No arguments there but Green made plenty of mistakes at the start of last season and was ridiculed by many on this site, just like Felix is now. Remember Green's howler Newcastle at home? Of course not, because he went on to put some solid performances in and fair play to him. Who's to say the Cat won't do the same? MM

I take your point Mick but Green's mistakes were due to him not keeping as to his ability. Wiedwald's mistakes are due to him not being able to do what is required as it is not part of his game i.e he will punch instead of catching the ball
