So poor. We have no game plan, are we a possession team? Counter attack? We look Sunday league at the moment. Defenders look scared of the ball and strikers can't hold it. Jansson and Hernandez look the only 2 players who are good enough. Already looking towards next season, gutted.

What was roofe's celebration all about. was it against all the critism. Don't play rubbish don't get criticized. playing for Leeds United is different to Oxford Utd. There is expectation. Embrace it or drop back down the league's.

Why are some fans criticizing PH for saying it's not a must win game. For one, to say otherwise would add unnecessary extra pressure on the team and also I would argue that with 14 games left it is still retrievable, although we are obviously in the realms of waiting for others to slip up.

Yes it is obvious every game now is important but, as PH identified, we must lose our fear and nervous apprehension. Just go out and play. I said at the end of TCs reign just as much as tactics is the mental challenge he had of taking the weight off some shoulders and freeing them up to play. This is now one of jobs of PH and this will sorely test his man management/motivation skills.

Leo Know what Hecky trying to say but it's a poor choice of words for a club he manages who haven't won since Boxing Day of last year and we're at home. # poor choice of words

2 totally unrelated points:
1. I heard Jim White say on Talk sport that Radz is paying for the treatment of a sick former Leeds player. It appeared as if White wasn't meant to tell anyone but it's an amazing gesture from Radz.

2. Was i the only one surprised how long it took Hernandez to come on when Roofe was injured on Saturday? I thought it was indicative of our general lack of urgency and sloppiness. I would have hoped the manager would have been going crazy but it didn't look that way.

Wages believed to be around 50k a week at hamburg if rumours are correct even a 50% cut leaves him 10k a week over our budget so can't see it happening not sure if I even want him to stay hasn't brought enough to the party for me

Agree3 1Disagree

14 Feb 2018 22:57:30
His lack of skill should be the bloody stumbling block not his wages! If he was that good he would be wanted back home with them happy to pay his wages! We get to many cast offs that no one else wants, it’s not very often we get a player from a club who wants him to stay!

I think he is doing ok and will get better as the season progresses - remember that he is new to the Championship and spent a bit of time on the sidelines. He is getting back to fitness now and starting to have more of an impact. can't see him staying though cause we have signed another, similar striker due to be completed in Summer whose name escapes me.

Don't get why so many people are opposed to radz '5 year plan'. I'm sure a lot of people will be eating humble pie when we're a strong side in the prem in 5 years, I know I'd much rather have a 5 year plan than a one hit season in the champ and get annihilated week in week out next year in the prem and end up in league 1 two years later

So good to read a sensible post, totally agree O’Leary just posted something similar saying we are in a good a position as we’ve been for many a year.

Totally agree. Too many people want instant success which sometimes is acheivable but rarely sustainable. I have so much admiration for Radz plan and his strength of will to persevere. The more it goes on the more I feel that when we do go up it will have longevity.

In all honesty Leodis I think some people on here including me are fed up of waiting, we build up for a new season and then it’s a no show again, It’s been a tough few years, we had MasterBates who nearly wiped us off the map, then that other lot who just used us for gain and who I believe have held us back! MC came in and although he got us on a stable footing he was a mad head and then Radz who has done a fantastic job, the only bad thing is he brought Orta in! It’s hard to remember that Radz has only been with us for just over half a season so in terms of club progression he’s doing wonders but impatient fans like me forget that! I love the fact that Radz owns us and I know he wants to succeed and he knows he will make mistakes, that’s in reality but myself and many others crave that success we had with O’Leary, this time though we want to have it properly and not recklessly, but and again we want it yesterday and not tomorrow! Negative or positive we all want the same thing! Good post O’Leary, 92 and Leodis.

Instant success? We didn't get relegated last year we been out of premier league for over 12 yrs so to say people want instant success is potty.

Class - couldn't agree with the essay you wrote on the banter page more, wish I could give it two thumbs up!

Leodis - Completely correct on the longevity angle. Build the foundations first.

Mike - Completely appreciate where you're coming from, I know you've come under a bit of fire recently but it's nice to see you're still able to see it from other people's perspectives too!

Martyn - Sticking with theme of perspective, you could say it's been X amount of years since the old glory days and people are getting impatient but bare in mind we were in league 1 more recently than the premier league. Without Radz and even MC stepping in we could still be a tax write off for GFH today with absolutely no chance of major improvement, that is why I think Radz deserves at least a chance with his 5 year plan. Sorry for delayed responses. Living in china ATM, the time difference and firewall does not help! MOT.

15 Feb 2018 15:12:29
Leodis - the most frustrating thing is to be in the dark. I've always said if the chairman shares the plan with us so tat we can see how we are doing against a goal people will be more patient and happier. if we don't know where we are going or how long it takes the journey is much more difficult.

I think we should employ the old Christmas tree formation introduced by Terry Venables to England once upon a time 4-3-2-1 3 centre mids with 2 play makers behind lassoga Weidweld Berardi Cooper Jansson De bock Phillips Viera Foreshaw Saiz Hernandez Lassoga.

Id drop hernandez to a deeper cm role, and play ekuban or roberts in his place in behind lasogga, just gives us more pace up top and hernandez is a better cm than phillips anyway

Agree4 0Disagree

13 Feb 2018 10:13:16
Anything terry Venables came up with should be dismissed out of hand immediately Looking at that formation it smacks of " no width " Lassie needs crosses. they've been rare . So saiz and hernadez will have to go wide They're easier to deal with out there Not sure that works best for us No crosses means ekuban for lassie as he moves the opposition back 4 about making room for saiz . who needs freedom to roam and pop up in the pockets or behind full backs. Plus he needs to pull the trigger more. you need 3/ 4 behind him as he's not going to defend much So it's saiz or hernandez, playing both is a luxury I'd like to see Philips foreshaw and viera given a go. Just to protect that back four Win the midfield, win the game Dallas in place of alioski who needs that inner ear issue looking at & we really, really need to get on the front foot and dominate Love hecky

Agree3 0Disagree

13 Feb 2018 10:15:34
I'd be happy with that. If Lasogga wasn't working you could swap him out for Ekuban and you've got Dallas in the wings, so to speak, to sub in at almost any position.

Drop Phillips for Pennington

When all are available Hecky has such a brilliant problem of who to drop. Thankfully for him some are making that decision a little easier.

Best 11 for me, with everyone fit and playing 442 would be Wield, De B, Ayling, Pontus and Penn. RV, Foreshaw. Dallas, Roberts (on the left) Saiz and Ekuban . At the end of the season Pennington goes we need a CH, DM, 2 wingers and a striker. If we invest in those 5 players with proper quality it would totally transform the team. Pablo to give forwards a rest (1st sub) . Will need a better attacking left back and goalie at some point . Hopefully the U23's will start coming through also

Believable2 0Unbelievable

13 Feb 2018 07:23:54
Really good team that. It is a shame that we can't just have hernandez forever, but he is slowly by the game losing his consistency and despite the quality still being there, it doesn't show as often. he's like a cheap mans xavi. he's been great for us and i think monks third best signing behind ayling and PJ.

Agree2 0Disagree

12 Feb 2018 17:53:49
I might get shot down for this but the last time we had a big man upfront scoring goals we also had Sakho starting on the right. Give Alioski a rest and hopefully Sakho might come good

Sacko has a lot of speed but not much else. Get the feeling Alioski has it in him. Just need someone to bring it out. Hopefully PH is that someone.

13 Feb 2018 05:20:30
Alioski does get fouled a lot but dosent get the free kicks he deserves because he dives so much. I agree though. there's a good player in there. There isn't with sacko unfortunately.
