Keogh was the worst player on the pitch today, don't play him for his remaining games. Absolutely useless

Believable5 Unbelievable3

That's the problem with some Leeds fans in a nutshell.one bad game for player or team and they're calling for players to be dropped or the manager to be sacked.Keogh has had some good games and bad games, but that's why he is in the championship.

Agree0 Disagree2

Ridiculous - he's generally been great since arriving. You don't drop a player for the whole season because of his performance in one game...

Agree1 Disagree2

Yes he was but he just needs his from back he has been siting on the bench for weeks

Agree2 Disagree0

I don't think he brings enough to the team to be a starting player, even if he does work hard.....not worth signing permanently, unless as a squad player.

Agree1 Disagree1

In general, I think Keogh has been good, but if we are going to play Becchio, I'd much rather see McCormack in the side than him.

hope simon grayson is leeds manager 10+ years, top record, leeds united legend, mot

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Grayson is a one trick pony and that is not that good a trick, time to go taxi for Grayson.

leeds will get promoted this season believe it

Believable5 Unbelievable8

If you think we,ll get promoted your kidding yourself the team,s a shamables they,s no plan A or plan B simon grayson will run out of luck very soon and mr bates will sack him and saying grayson as not had the money to buy players a.bruce, l,bromby, a,obrien, m.brown, l.sam, most of players he want,s rid of that he paid money for s.grayson,s poor record on transfers the sack,s just around the corner can,t wait to get a real manager to get us back to the premiership come on mr bates you,ve done a good job so far for leeds united .R.I.P Gary speed make his family proud

Agree3 Disagree3

Not with Grayson we won`t, he knows he is not good enough for the premiership never mind the team, nice little earner in the championship give it a go come 7th or 8th and keep his job, that all he and a number of players want.

Agree4 Disagree2

funny fans calling other fans morons, everyone has ther own opinion, i for one do not think we will go up with grayson in charge, by saying this im not saying i HATE him so does it make me a HATER?? no! i have my own opinion which is that i dont feel he is a good enough manager for us now, he is terrible in the transfer windows and comes out with excuses saying the squad is strong enough when if it was we would have been in the prem, silly losses this season have to be his fault as that is where the buck stops, he chooses the team does the tactics and if the team dont respond then its down to the manager SIMPLE AS!!!!! i do not hate SG just feel he has done all he can.

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Your sir, are not a hater, just an idiot

Agree7 Disagree11

You are entitled to your view but do you really think that our budget extends to a better manager? It's only our second year in this division and Grayson hasn't been given funds to strengthen - in fact he's had money bled from the team.

Grayson HAS to say what he says because it's the party line.

Maybe calling you a person would be over the top but I think you are being naive and impatient; that you have an unrealistic view of how long it takes to build a team to compete in the premiership (we were in league one just 20 months ago, and yes I know about Norwich but they've spent a lot more money than us).

Maybe not a moron, but I think you have an overinflated view of where Leeds United stands right now as a club and that the attitude of people like you is very unhelpful.

I'd be interested in who you think would do a better job than Grayson and who would realistically be both affordable and interested in coming to Leeds with our very tight financial policy (I'm not anti-Bates - I broadly support his financial policies). Please don't list the usual names we see on here (O'Leary, Hughes, O'Neill, Ancellotti) which frankly looks like a fantasy managers list for where we are.

His record in just 6 years of management stands at 2 promotions, play-offs, 7th. Some managers don't achieve that in a 20-30 year career.

I don't think he's the world's best manager but I really fail to see who would do a better job given our situation. {Ed025's Note - what a great post!!...are you listening leeds fans...this guy is the truth!

Agree10 Disagree5

He's only been at Leeds a few years - done all he can. People like you were calling for Fergie's head at Man U after three years of his tenure. Look how wrong they were. Just as wrong as you are.

Agree4 Disagree4

SG is a leeds man he loves the club as much as us, he has to keep the line that Bates dictates. Bates would like us all to think that whatever happens to the team is down to the manager, but he is hedging his bets if we go up all well and good but if we fail its NOT because of his lack of financial funds to the manager its because his manager wasted the budget. The Budget that is smaller than his ground development budget. Remember - Ken Bates does not love leeds United.
Pele..

Agree3 Disagree6

Have your opinion but you obviously have no clue, christ, what do these fans want, yes not the strongest squad in the league but look at the clubs who have spent, and were above them in the league, eg leicester and ipswich, you are such an person that think that spending on a few players and a big name manager would get us up, if you are not satisfied then go follow man city.

Agree6 Disagree3

The first post is an absolute toliet of a post

Agree3 Disagree7

Well said !! u lot who want larry out just take a look at his record and more importantly his reaction when we score on the touch line ! mot !!

Agree5 Disagree5

I think Grayson is the right man for the job. After all he has won the most points in this league for the budget he is on

Agree6 Disagree6

Then tell me realistically all you believers what is your objective come May...? Where will Grayson finish in his 2nd season in the championship - then think where would you like us to finish..? then come back on this forum in May and tell us whether our season was a success - I already know the answer {Ed025's Note - you my friend ..are a defeatist!..larry is doing the best job he can with the funds available! show some respect for what he is trying to achieve. greatness is not achieved overnight, the club is being re-built slowly but on solid foundations, show some patience..and i will show you progress..

Agree4 Disagree2

Well said Ed when are these SG haters going to wake up! {Ed001's Note - I just don't understand what they expect the man to do with such little money spent. I saw a post moaning about how many players he had bought that hadn't worked out. I don't understand why that is a problem, the guy is spending nothing, so every transfer is a big gamble. It is very difficult to get cheap and free transfers correct.}

Agree1 Disagree5

Top 3rd post. Poor opening post. Grayson is doing a good job. He's a decent RB, CB and permanent reserve keeper away from having a genuine promotion chasing side in my opinion. Needs money for those 3 signings. Why don't you help SG out by phoning Bates and asking him to give SG a million and a half for that purpose in the next window. Only then will we know if SG is up to the task. When he spends some money. That moment hasn't arrived yet unless you can point us to the recent big money signings we've been making...

Agree1 Disagree4

Everyone has failed to answer the question to the post 3 above..! where do you expect Leeds to finish in the league this season bearing in mind the target for both SG and KB is promotion this season (their words)

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't care where we finish this season as long we continue to build a team & run the club in a financially sound way.
The fans that keep calling for Grayson's head or Bates out have delusional expectations and are exactly the kind of people who nearly put our club out of existence.
I don't like seeing the club I love getting annihilated by teams like Blackpool & languishing in the lower leagues & I miss the big games, big names, Europe & exciting cup runs but overall, I'm just glad that this great club is still here and I'll wait as long as it takes.
MOT

Agree3 Disagree2

We will finish were we will finish, might be 2nd, in the play offs, mid table, or anywhere else, who knows, we could hit good form and push for promotion or hit bad form and fall down the league, just get behind the lads at the games and give them that push, support the lads to do well, I believe Larry is the man for the job for years to come and will get us up in time, maybe this season or maybe in a few seasons he is the best manager we have had since oleary, the record speaks for it's self

Agree6 Disagree3

Let's see Leeds' ambition in Jan. If Reading will not let us loan McCarthy due to him having to compete with Lonergan for first team football then let's look at signing him permanently.
He's enjoyed his time here very much, playing excellently and would probably be keen to sign.
I think 2 exciting and excellent young keepers fighting for the position might be enough to give us a shout. No disrespect to Maik Taylor (a decent experienced keeper) but prob a bit past his best.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I agree with the fan questioning the realism of some of the managers' names mentioned here as potential successors to Simon Grayson. I would add that SG has been proving his own worth in a very difficult area of British football. Hughes, for example, would appear to have made an excellent transition from superb player to successful manager, but we haven't seen him work with a league 1 budget; or bring a club up to the Premiership. Shankly and Revie took Liverpool and Leeds from 2nd to (old) 1st divisions; we all know what happened next. Different times, I know; but we should be careful what we wish for with regard to Grayson. Most of my non-Leeds friends are extremely impressed by our manager, and so, I suspect, are many well-placed football chairmen.

Agree5 Disagree3

Comments about Maik by McCarthy highlight what a great support he has given him lead me to wonder if Maik has more duties than just goalkeeping ..... coaching perhaps .......how about defensive coach? With his experience ie would be a good call :-)

last time i checked we are still in the play-off picture? what do you grayson haters want, 100 points clear and +1000 goal differnece and a World XI for you to shut the f*** up complaining? get back to your caves and ill gladly slide a boulder in front of it so we never have to hear you people again! GET BEHIND THE MANAGER!!! SIMPLE!! {Ed025's Note - thats the ticket fella..

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Honestly ed i read it all the time and it does my nut in, one thing goes wrong and theyre here moaning all the time, i think theyre women, dont have a clue at all {Ed025's Note - leeds have a strong female following!...but i know what you mean about the moaners mate..

Agree4 Disagree7

My wife's a woman and she knows a lot more about football than some of the people posting on here. So for that matter does my 4 year old daughter and both of my dogs... {Ed025's Note - what about the parrot ?

see all the s g haters are back. total knobs. all the top teams have drawn today apart from middlesboro i bet there not moaning . we dont have the right to win every game . get off his back and support the team like real fans do.. {Ed025's Note - well said mate!

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Couldn't have put it better myself - surprised you got the k word through the vetting process though! {Ed025's Note - if the shoe fits...

Agree4 Disagree5

Yes we are back in force and will continue until a change occurs - maybe with a bit of hindsight we could have replaced S.G with Keith Hill who has made 4 signings for Barnsley since his arrival and all 4 are tearing up the championship unless your all happy with the 42 Grayson signings of which only 3 have consistently kept their Leeds shirt in the last 2 years - Look deep lads would you settle for seventh again this season and blame lack of funds AGAIN..! {Ed025's Note - leeds are doing really well at the moment, is there really any need for all the moaning?...get a grip!!

Agree9 Disagree2

Keith hill, keith hill are you having a laugh! GO SUPPORT BARNSLEY!!

Agree5 Disagree4

Its a marathon not a sprint and Leeds will fall away out of the top 6 again - mark my words {Ed025's Note - nothing in this league is guaranteed! ..just enjoy it while you can..

Agree4 Disagree2

The same Keith Hill who took over Barnsley when 3rd from bottom and now only 2 points behind Leeds - The same Keith Hill who got back to back promotions with Rochdale never before in history..! so yes... Keith Hill or someone with that pedigree and desire for Leeds in my book {Ed025's Note - bully for keith hill.....larry is doing a sterling job at the moment....cut the guy some slack!!

Agree3 Disagree1

7th in our first season back in the Championship? I'd say that was at least 10 places higher than we had the right to expect. I'd like to see us improve but realistically we're overachieving considering our resources.

And as for funds it's a major issue. Net expenditure on players in 2011 has been MINUS £5.2 million. Grayson hasn't bought 40+ players - they've almost all been loans enforced by our financial situation. Loans come and go so the number is bound to be high and the talent pool isn't exactly teeming in the loan market. The permanent signings like Clayton, Lonergan, Sam, McCormack are all quality players at Championship level, and we're currently also playing Keogh, Brown, O'Dea, Nunez - which suggests that you can't even count let alone put forward a sensible viewpoint on something as important as our team's manager.

You can whine all you like but SG is the best manager we'll get within Bates's understandably meagre budget. Would you prefer Peter Reid?

As for Barnsley, I'm very pleased that another Yorkshire club is on the up but the situations are entirely unrelated.

Get a grip on reality man... {Ed025's Note - great post mate...

Agree4 Disagree2

The keith hill honeymoon wont last {Ed025's Note - he has done really well..but this is a leeds site!!.....lets talk about them..

Agree2 Disagree0

The same keith hill whos teams just blown a 2-0 lead and are now losing? to ipswich? at home?

Well done snoddy!!!!!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Not sure scoring a penalty by putting it straight down the middle is worth a well done. Varynen's good work forced the penalty. I'd say well done to the team for sticking it out and snatching a point despite a shocking performance.

Agree2 Disagree2

Dunno what pen you were watching didnt look down the middle

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. I said well done snoddy for the fact that he kept his composure to score. There must have been plenty of pressure on the guy to try and score a penalty in the 94th minute to get us a point...so WELL DONE SNODDY

10 Dec 2011 16:56:18
another chance not taken, absolutly abysmal today, lucky to get a point. SG OUT before january, has not got the foggiest!!!

Believable6 Unbelievable9

A point away is always a good result especially after a poor performance and a hastily reshuffled team.

Do you really expect to win and perform every game? Probably, because you are clearly deluded and very stupid.

Agree5 Disagree5

13 points from 18 mate - a good haul by any rational assessment - suggest it might be you that doesn't have the foggiest...

Agree6 Disagree2

Averaged over 2 points a game over the last 6, if we do that for the test of the season we'll finish on 85, sure to go up

Agree4 Disagree2

10 Dec 2011 16:33:04
thats why sg is great manager, reverted back to 451 with 2 wins in 2 6 goals non conceded, do you keep the formation??? no go back to 442 and lose

Believable2 Unbelievable4

He lost Howson and Brown from the midfield 5. Are you really as stupid as your post suggests? We will not win every game. We will not perform well in every game. Sometimes you have to grind out results and THAT is the sign of a good team and a good manager.

Agree3 Disagree2

And by the way - we drew. That's different to losing.

Agree4 Disagree3

I dont hear scum fans screaming fergie out coz stuff doesnt always go to plan

Agree3 Disagree1

Someone disagrees that drawing is different to losing. How can you disagree with that? Drawing is when your team scores the same number of goals as the other team. Losing is when the other team scores at least one more. Just thought I'd clarify that for the benefit of the clearly very stupid person who disagrees.

Ed, I don't want to seem undemocratic but can we have a rule of 'at least 5 brain cells'? {Ed025's Note - we want more than 3 posts a year...lol

GRAYSON OUT..........................!!

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Morons out - much better solution - starting with you mate.

We won't win every game. Support the team or go crawl back into your cave...

Agree6 Disagree5

Morons out..? surely that would leave Elland Rd with an average attendance of 8000 -
you will find SG is not the most popular choice amongst fans

Agree8 Disagree4

Ermmm everytime im there i hear 'THERES ONLY ONE SIMON GRAYSON', and its pretty loud

Agree4 Disagree4

Strange that - I go to every home game and many away and have only ever heard one fan calling 'Grayson Out' during a match in the last 3 years - that was at the Barnsley game. I've often heard a LOT of fans singing 'One Simon Grayson'. Not sure where you got that idea from - maybe you and the other 9 Larry haters all meet up at the pub before and are completely oblivious to the majority opinion.

surprise surprise, losing at halft time to one of the weaker teams in the league after 2 impressive wins, forgive me if we win but inconsistency again. and oh yerr a left winger scored, im guessing nothing to do with connolly??

Believable1 Unbelievable3

As it happens Paddy was at fault for both the goal AND the the penalty they missed. Guessing there's a bit of irrational prejudice going on here.

Agree1 Disagree1

One of the weaker teams who just happen to be on a good run, unbeaten in six,to grind out a result when not playing well is the mark of a good side, cant win every game bud, just ask big Sam.

In January we'll end up signing next to nobody again and I'll be very frustrated like a lot of Leeds fans BUT those of you that would say negative things about Grayson should take note.
When Grayson took over we were still trying to fight to get out of League 1.
Since taking over he's taken us out of that League and had us in regular play off contention for the championship (every single season as manager).
Big deal you might say.
Well it's not bad when you consider that during that time we've lost Bradley Johnson, Jermaine Beckford, Max Gradel, Kasper Schmeichel & Fabian Delph and others.
How many managers could afford to lose players like that. Spend a pittance on replacements (keeping the club financially - very secure) under a really tight wage budget for a chairman like Bates, withstand the pressure of an enormous club with enormous expectations, love the club they manage and STILL have us in a play off position.
I think the man should get the credit he deserves.

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Totally agree with this Simon Grayson IS the man for the job look what happened to forest when they got rid of their manager coz he didn't get them up premiership in 2 years scared for our club that bates will get rid Simon Grayson and we go through loads of managers tryna get out the championship stop hating SG he's the man

Agree3 Disagree5

The Grayson out lobby on here really baffle me. Everyone I talk to who isn't a Leeds fan tells me how lucky they think we are to have a manager who's achieved so much with so little funding and how much they'd love to have him at their clubs.

Usually the Grayson out crowd who bother to suggest replacements list names like Ancellotti, O'Neill, Hughes etc.. That suggests that they don't have a grip on reality...

Agree2 Disagree4

I wouldn't say i'm anti Grayson but believe some of his decisions have been baffling including some of his transfers, this is a guy who has brought in over 40 players in 2 years of which only 2/3 are ever present in the current Leeds side, i do appreciate plenty have been loan signings but i could list the failures in contrast to the positives - however the page isn't long enough - anyone who gambles 40x will eventually strike lucky, however in the current climate and the ambitions of KB Grayson has little time on his hands

Agree3 Disagree0

Has it occurred to you that KB's purse strings might be the restrictive factor here? And I'm saying that as someone who broadly supports KB's stance.

We're shopping in the bargain basement, we've had to take a lot of players on short term loan and when you're in that position there is always going to be a bit of a scattergun, 'hit and hope' element to transfer policy. SG can't pick and choose players in the way that DOL could so the hit rate is bound to be lower.

And will KB push him? Who does he think will come to Leeds with no money and a policy of cashing in on players like Delph & Gradel. Can't imagine the queue will be a long or particularly illustrious one...

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't want to be too picky but we didn't 'cash in' on delph or gradel. Both asked for transfers out of the club, very little can be done when that situation occurs.

Agree1 Disagree0
