Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Strange selection today and just wonder whether it was testing the water!?! The lack of use of antenucci when Morrison was not really providing anything was bemusing, as was the only sub of the game (for us) - we should have done better but I will take a point - can't help thinking we could actually produce something really good with the squad we have! Should have made the changes earlier - forget Bechio - aunty Lucy or mowatt could have converted today!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was the selection of Morison a homage to Becchio? Possibly a message to Cellino that this formation can only work with a better target man. However I don't think Becchio is the answer

Well I wasn't at the game today and haven't seen the highlights, so I'll defer to those sufferers who can get to every game. Clearly it was a game where we deserved at least the point, and could have won. (Or lost). But is anyone else getting ever so slightly peed off with the boring repetition of Redders after the match comments saying how well certain players did and how our performances are improving and how we could have won? Is he still going to be saying this when we slip into the bottom 3? (I'm still reeling from the fact he only 'discovered' Sloth last week)
I am/ have been a big fan of his (Redders) - but what we need now are points not performances. Fair enough a point away from home, but it's games like this we need to win.
I don't actually think our squad is that bad, and surely it is possible to put a team together that can score a goal from open play.
And while I'm having a whinge - I like Sylvestre but I'm getting more and more worried about his fondness of punching balls that should be caught, and his too frequent total lack of command of his area and lack of communication with the defence. He needs a good rollocking imo.
On the bright side, sounds like Sam added at least a million to his price tag today!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good post Speedy. sums it up nicely and particularly agree with your point about Silvestre. started off very well and I thought we'd acquired a great keeper. But in the the last few games his weak points have emerged. A commanding keeper is always a great aid to the back four, and should be shouting the odds at them. But as you say, he punches too much instead of catching and needs to communicate with his defenders a lot more. If he works on these things, he could become a great keeper instead of a good one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Mark
Having re-read my post I do wanna give Redders some credit. I never thought he would drop JP, but he did have the balls to do that, and he has tried various captains, admittedly due to injury. Cooper might be the one to stick with

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post again we should be joint managers

now one striker and it's morison what the hell is going on he's useless and worse than that he couldn't score if he played 2 mths none stop effort none run for ball no stands around never puts himself out but we should but the 30k a week player should be out for good easy money doing nothing off or on pitch

I hate being negative, but I fear being in the bottom three next Sat, Can't score, Can't win, and confidence in the strikers must be low.

hi speedy, Peterboro and everyone. I have been away spending time with my dad and his family who I have just looked up after 31 years. Even went to palace on boxing day (dad and family are egals) glad to see I took my luck with me as they lost badly and manager got sacked so I am no longer allowed back at selhurst park. I loved the joke about me spending time with hock on a cruise in the med. would love to spend time with Hock by the river but it would involved a lot of concrete, rope and someone losing their teeth and finger to get rid of evidence. Sad to see leeds have no picked up as I thought. Wigan was very poor result. I would love lennon and beccio if possible they seem to be low risk with money and must improve team surely? With current team I would love to see diamond dropped in favour of wing back system with bryam and maybe even adian white providing pace and width with three centre havles behind. and cook/sotlh/adryan all fitghting it out of the attacking/hole role behind a front two with two anchor midfielders behind. It worked for me on my S''a manager game and that is proper realistic so must be worth a shot. Happy new year and up the table we go MOT

Been saying for ages that Byram should be further up the pitch. Morison needs to move on & we should have put Antenucci on. Unlucky today. Mot

Just a quick question. Why if we had a strong bench did we only use it in the last ten minutes & only once!

I fear for us I really do!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jan 2015 17:00:40
A point away,
But now only one place off the drop zone, and still can't score in open play.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jan 2015 16:59:28
Sounded a bit unlucky today, but we have now only scored one goal from open play in the last seven games.
I don't think we will go down but we need to start scoring again soon!
Why Morison if you're going to put one up front on his own then from a skill point of view surely Antenucci is the better option!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jan 2015 15:53:20
Got to be the strongest bench we've fielded in a decade.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jan 2015 17:47:13
Sad they were not used, fresh legs make all the difference.we need goals and points from now till the end of season!.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame he didn't use it, Redders just doesn't know how to find a winning formula, and times running out, leaving strikers on the bench and changing midfielders to win games.?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2015 14:59:40
Our top 3 goalscorers are Antenucci, Doukara & Mowatt. None of them starting today. I'm sure Redfern knows what he's doing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

1-0 up
Im sure you are right!
100% in control???

Just seen the team
Eeeerrrrr!??? How does that work? Morrison!?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One in front, he will be a big target man on cold windy day. Back 4 is fine all in right positions at least, then looking like 4-2-3-1 which for an away game I am ok with.

Have plenty of options on bench, Bolton don't score many so I get the thinking. Re Morrison well we will see, maybe horses for courses but at least readers seems to be thinking about it, hope it works.

Agree0 Disagree0

Me too mate!

Interesting line up. My question would be why has it taken so long to realise that Byram and Sloth could provide the width we have been so badly lacking? This could work well, not convinced with Morison as the striker but prepared to give him the benefit for today.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes playing with wingers and seen morrison has higher heading on fifa

Good call on byram! Y so long?please prove me wrong morris

Dropping your best striker and bringing in your worst! Big big gamble for Redders imo

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeh i'd have left Antenucci as the one up front, blustery conditions could lead to some interesting defending.

10 Jan 2015 14:03:36
Silvestri, Berardi, Bellusci, Cooper, C Taylor, Byram, Austin, Murphy, Cook, Sloth, Morison.

Not sure Morison rather than Antenucci would have been my choice, and Adryan not even on bench!

Bolton will be a diff animal this time
That was my only live match in 15 years and it was a lucky win
Are all coaches and managers blinkered?
Bolton wiped the floor with us play wise second half but couldn't score!

What seems to be apparent with MC and sacking of coaches, is as soon as the majority of fans turn against the coach, he reacts by sacking them! In doing this he believes that he as given the fans what they want, so no blame is attached to himself for the form of the team! The posts on here have change from give NR the job because he is the Messiah, as he proved in the results when caretaker, to he doesn't have a clue! MC will be taking note of fans reaction and NR is now ondrinking in the last chance saloon!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Same goes for redders and his team selection although redders can't figure out what player to play in what position against who.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well kfc
Never thought Redders was or would be the messiah, but I did think he should be given the season, but his tactics and team choices are becoming increasingly worrying. But it's all about results so let's hope he proves us wrong. SOON

So where are these loan signings before Bolton game?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Jan 2015 11:06:13
Not saying it's what I necessarily want, but I don't think MC will keep the faith with Redders if we don't pick up some points in next 10 days. The clock could be ticking Neil. Obviously I'd prefer the points, but hope if and when the other happens, MC has got a decent replacement in mind this time before he pulls the trigger

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I reckon his gone if lose today grip!

Agree0 Disagree0

What is the point of changing managers again? We desperately need stability in all areas. As I predicted just before the end of last season, we would make minimum progress this season and that keeping the door revolving at the manager, coaches expense is not the way forward. Redfearn may not be long for the real long term, but give him a chance, the Hock was written off before he had even started by us the fans, Milanic pretty much the same. What manager would we get and even want to come to the job in the knowledge that they might only be in the job for a few weeks, being told who we are buying and who, how the team should play?
Salerno has brought in players mostly from the 2nd tier of the Italian league, they have good touches, but that doesn't give them the stomach for the fight that the Champioinship is. Redfearn is right when he says that we need players with Championship experience and prepared to battle in the cut and thrust of it. We the LUFC fans need to hold our nerve and show some patience, otherwise we will stagnate at the foot of the league and possibly worse. I believe MC has done a lot of great things for the club. So grit your teeth people, and be careful what you wish for.

Agree0 Disagree0

We could be in bottom 3 tonight
I don't mind redders. Nothing against him. Other than he dosent win enough. Regardless of the reasons
I think mc needs to change his ways. But if he needs to sack 5-6 managers to realise this. So bloody be it. The sooner the better!

Agree0 Disagree0

Tewey
I'm not wishing for it, I'm predicting MC's actions!

Team I'd like to see against Bolton today.
Silvestri
Byram, Del Fabro, Cooper, Beradi
Sloth, Cook, Mowatt, Montenegro
Adryan
Antenucci.
Adryan must be due a goal, surely, or someone, anyone, please!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good team there Danum, but doubt it will be Redders

Agree0 Disagree0

Would never play Mowatt and Cook together at least from the start. Not yet anyway. Two lightweight and predictable.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the adryan situation, let him float around behind the striker and create, free roll!
STW

Agree0 Disagree0

As 90 mins goes. The Starters not too bad.
Main Course is bloody awful,
And we normally end up looking like puddings.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well the selection is BIZARRE. This has got to be Morisons last chance, and if it goes tits up, might be Redders
