I seem to remember many on this site giving Rob Green stick at the start of last season, then tipping him for player of the year at the end of it. Monk stuck with him and his performances improved. Are these the same people who are now ridiculing the Cat? Yes, it's our right to be fickle football fans but all it takes is a couple of good games and everyone will be raving on about him. I think we should stick with him. MM

Couldn't agree with u more mm, I reckon it'll be a rob green situation and we'll be raving about him end of season.

Love your optimism Delboy and would love you to be proven right. Thing is Green had played at the top before he came to Leeds and although he was known for some of his mistakes he had been a good keeper, the difference is Felix hasn't done much in the past. Yes he played in Germany's top flight, but he was poor and we can see why.

Said after the Cardiff match that he got a lot of unjustified negativity, conceded 3 but not really at fault for any and everyone tore into him. The lack of a proper LB and a CB to partner Pontus is hurting us more than anything.

Ive only seen him once plus the cardiff goals. He had a good defence in front of him. An experienced defence. Just got to say it as i saw it. He couldn't catch a ball. He couldn't distribute a ball. He couldn't position himself right. He couldn't come out for corners right. i'm sorry chaps but it really was an appalling display and trust me. He is going to cost us many many many points. It was stupid getting rid of green. Wield should have been made to fight for his place. Green did make a few mistakes last season but ge generally got the basics right. This chap looks like he literally panics as soon as the ball is near him. Tc needs to admit his mistake and drop him.

Just a thought, suggested this when we had the defender crisis last year, if we are getting over run in the middle and people want an extra forward on to take the pressure off Lassoga would it be worth trying a game as a 3-5-2? Thinking - Cooper (CB) , Jansson (CB) , Pennington (CB) , Dallas (LM) , O'Kane (CM) , Shaunessy (DM) , Philips (CM) , Ayling (RM) , Lassoga (ST) , Saiz (ST) . Dallas and Ayling both have the stamina to get back into a wing-back role if the Opposition pushes or forward into a Winger role if we are in control with Shaunessy (or Anita) giving the CM the bite its been lacking, only takes 1 sub to go back to our preferred shape if it doesn't work out too.

Can't see much wrong with that lineup, but then neither can I find fault with any of the other permutations. Perhaps that's part of the problem. We have not gained the consistency which points to a first eleven. Non of us seem agreed on the first eleven (except for GK) and I think neither does anyone at Elland Road.

TBH I think it's hard to drop the lights of Saiz, Hernandez, alioski and Roofe, but if u get them in there we have a winner.

Actually think TC has started our best 11 (when fit) most games leodis but you have to pick the team for the game sometimes and the formation. For instance I would keep Alioski and Hernandez in for a 4-2-3-1 Delboy but Hernandez just doesn't fit into a 3-5-2 and I prefer Aylings physicality and work rate over Alioski in that setup.

I think O'Kane should be given a rest, to let his cracked ribs heal. Bring Viera in for Saturday and see how he gets on

See we are back in the market for another goalkeeper, why when we already have spare ones on the bench, should have kept Green, this seems a waste of money to me should have spent wisely in the first place.

I concur. That said, all club's make mistakes. Ferguson made some beauties, but still did well. If we make only a few, we should be fine. Again though, Weildwald's stats suggest that he was poop before he came to us.

He is a 21 year old free agent Whiteman, hardly going to break the bank. Most likely coming in to cover for BPF so he can go out on loan in January, good move in my opinion, BPF needs to get some first team games under his belt.

I agree LUFC it is said you could field a team of Fergies flops. All signings are a gamble, no matter the price paid. It has even been known to bring a player over from Europe where he has been ripping up the league and as soon as he steps on UK soil he gets stagefright. Let's just have faith in TC and his scouting system and put any flops down to bad luck and move on. It's even a bigger gamble when dealing long term and going for young, untried, untested kids for the future.

Ok. let's get the show on the road. My wish list for sat! 1. A win. After the rubbish i witnessed against wed! 2. TC to wise up. 3. Something near this team. Injuries permitting. Long Ayling Berahdi Pontus Penn Okane Anita Viera Roofe Saiz Lass Subs to be considered. Dallas. Hernandez. Sacko. Phillips. Shaun.

Not too much wrong with that selection Aus, would try using Alioski as impact sub too instead of starting. can't wait for proper football to get going again.
