Team next season:
Kenny
Halford O'Dea Shackell Robinson
Snodgrass Brown Clayton Ward
McCormack Cox
Subs: Rogers, Hulse, Poleon, Gimpel, McArthur

Believable2 Unbelievable12

Let's hope not.

Agree8 Disagree0

I agree, let's hope not

Agree8 Disagree0

Id hope for more like:

Kenny
Halford Hill/Mills Whitbread Robinson
Snodgrass Clayton Derry Ambrose
Mccormack Bothroyd

Agree9 Disagree1

I'd hope for something without snodgrass in tbh

Agree2 Disagree4

Halford is terrible.

Agree0 Disagree2

I honestly hope Clayton isn't a first choice in midfield next season.

Zac thompsons future could be in doubt, as he left the field after his red card Warnock told him that was his chance and he had blown it

Believable1 Unbelievable10

Stop spouting rubbish, NW bollocked him in the heat of the moment but said later he was unlucky to be sent off. He's a young lad ffs.

Agree2 Disagree0

Unless your a lip reader and watched it on TV as you would never have seen it from the away end of the stadium, nobody has any idea what was said after Thompson was dismissed so why waste your time posting utter nonsense?!

IMO - he's a young lad who lost the ball carelessly and made a rash tackle to get it back. Pugh's was a much worse tackle 5mins later so i suppose NW has told him he's blew his chance too as he would of been given a straight red if it wasnt for the fact a red card had already been shown to Leeds already.

pathetic post! get a grip...

i agree the leeds team but i do not agree with the excess of people want to leave. as anyone who as ever played football no matter the level knows is that you can only perform to a high standard before others drag you down. for me the people to leave should be: rachukba, o'brien, connelly, parker, kisnorbo, brown, nunez, vakeryn, sam, paytner, forssell, bruce,
keep:lees, clayton, mccormack, becchio, snodgrass, o'dea, robinson, lonergan, white, c taylor,
and sign 8 more players

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I agree that all those on the leave list have been very poor Leeds Utd players,Kisnorbo being the exeption when he was fit, Also if a good bid comes in for Snodgrass he will be sold.

Agree1 Disagree3

Agree with the original poster - loads of deadwood we need to get rid of and for once I have confident we have a manager who is good in the transfer market - making moves quickly for good players and can attract players of the right calibre rather than leave it to the last minute and panic. I can see snoddy staying for at least 1 more season with Warnock building the team around him just like he did with tarabaat at QPR. I'm really looking forward to seeing what we do in the close season although I have a feeling we may have a relatively slow start simply due to how many first team players we clearly need and the settling in period

Agree3 Disagree0

Not Nunez!!

Agree3 Disagree1

I agree with all that however you have missed out a few players such as bromby and pugh- worth keepin or flog?

Agree1 Disagree1

Keep forssel as he is the best striker we have and bruce is our best defender

Agree0 Disagree4

Vakerynn has been injured but when fit would be a good player to have in central midfield alongside Clayton. He could be the man to play the Brown role if Brown leaves. He has shown in the few matches he has played that would be a strong central midfielder. Lees has weakened as the season has gone along and at the moment is certainly no better than Bruce; however he is young enough to improve but I would certainly keep Bruce as well.

Am i the only one on here that thinks our 1st signing in the summer should be a keeper?

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Yeah u let 2 in on Monday ha ha

Paddy Kenny is our first signing !!

snoody will be going at the end of the season and he will go to norwich bradley johnson turned howsons head and he,ll do the same to snoddy i just hope it,s at the end of the season and not at the begining of the next one it would be nice to see leeds go up and norwich go down next season and see if there stay because there is no loyalty with these players because there would be nothing if it wsa not for leeds giving them a chance

Believable1 Unbelievable2

If we are to lose snoddy i would sell him in the summer as we would get some good money still .wait until January we will get 2 mil tops not worth losing the money when 5 mil will get us some real quality in our squad and will make a big difference . snoddy has looked off the pace most of this season

Imagine if you were Warnock here's the scenario. I've come in and tried to work with the players left to me and on the first problem which was shipping goals. The mentality is working away from home but not at home. Therefore I have got players frightend to be Leeds players and the responsibility and expectation that comes with that. I can't do anymore so and potentially will have my best players poached. What do I do? Ask the players I want to keep do you want to stay don't mess about tell me and if you want to go work on achieving best price. Then list out the players I need to let go start working with agents to get things moving and get them shipped out whilst trying to obtain a price for them. Blank canvas.......... If I was Warnock I'd be saying to the supporters who ever is going is going for a reason they either don't fit my plans or they want to go. I will rebuild a team who want to wear the White shirt play for Leeds and will love the support that we offer. My int being let's back him no matter what even if we are not happy with who might be going. Next season is our season MOT

Believable8 Unbelievable0

If we are to build a really strong team for next season we will have to sell 1 of our main assets at least i just hope we keep mccormack , for me it would be snoddy to leave as the transfer fee for him could get us several players in with quality for all over the pitch . cant see becchio going as i dont think he would cut it in prem league so best hes gonna get is championship next season

Agree7 Disagree0

Rightly said, good post

Agree6 Disagree0

Snodgrass isn't good enough for the Premiership and this will become apparent in the future.

Just seen that Fraser Fyvie isn't signing a new deal at Aberdeen and wants a move. He'd be a great signing for midfield, he's only 19 so would be worth an outlay of £1 million - I'm sure Ross and Snoddy who are Scots internationals would be able to persuade him to join

Believable7 Unbelievable0

I'm sure Snodgrass won't be here to persuade him and that there's no way we will pay £1m transfer fee for anyone

Agree2 Disagree2

I fwe spend 1 mil on player it wont be some 19 year old

Agree1 Disagree0

I dont think Snoddy will be here next season.

Agree3 Disagree0

Just hope we get 5 mil for snoddy in the summer

Agree3 Disagree2

The reason Fyvie is leaving Aberdeen is because he off to the PL. And 1 million is just the opening bid. We definitely need this type of player though, just won't be able to afford one....

Seriously People do we really want O'Dea to stay ??
Agree=stay disagree=get rid
I personally say get rid He's been ok BUT ok isn't good enough Gj

Believable8 Unbelievable20

He has improved massively under Warnock and he still is only 24, he could turn into an excellent championship defender and is worthwhile cover to have but not as a first choice. It all depends on the ages he wants.

Agree3 Disagree0

Lonergan
Robinson
O'Dea
Kisnorbo?? Injury dependant
Thompson
White
Clayton
Snodgrass
Mcormack
Somma

Are the only players out of the current squad of 30 that I would keep going in to next season.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

I think lees pugh and nunez should stay aswell, they are relativly young apart from pugh and are good squad players

Agree7 Disagree0

Robinson and Rogers maybe webber

Agree6 Disagree1

Nunez

Agree5 Disagree2

Lees?

Agree4 Disagree0

Rumour has it Snoddy has finally admitted he is not happy with the clubs lack of ambition, Selling Howson is proof of that and If any team like Norwich came calling in the summer his bags will be packed in no time at all, so how will NW build the team for next season.

Agree3 Disagree4

Paddy, how ever much hes done for us in the past, hes not what he was and we need to get him off the wage bill.

Agree7 Disagree2

NUNEZ has a contract till 2015 so he's staying Gj

Agree3 Disagree0

Kisnorbo was way out of his depth brfore he got injured,he will be even slower when he comes back from his present injury

Agree3 Disagree1

Not exactly a rumour about Snoddy - he was pretty explicit at the Lorimer's Bar event according to someone I know who was there. More or less said not replacing Howson had been a major problem for the team balance and showed a lack of ambition. Pretty much said he'd be off unless things improved.

Agree3 Disagree1

No one want becchio to stay then . if he stays injury free now he will be good again next season in this league . he could be off but no higher than this league

Agree2 Disagree0

11 Apr 2012 12:28:32

We currently have a squad of 30 players, which everyone from KB down to the average fan in the stand agrees is too big and this summer looks like being cut back.

However judging by all the rumours already on here, next seasons squad will be about 50 strong.

I love coming on here to read the 'I heard it from my mates dog', 'My uncles budgie is on the board', etc quotes as they do make me laugh. Especially as a club we have bought one player in the past 2 seasons.

It will be mental on here going in to pre season. I cant wait to read the inevitable insane rumours, as we go through summer.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Well, rumour has it, my uncles budgie is going to Norwich next season, along with all the decent players so we won't get any more info from that direction.

However, my best mate's aunt has a window cleaner that might be interested in the vacant position.....

The player that warnock wants 1st May is surely a keeper or a defender. All these people saying beckford, hulse, mackie and ched evans are surely wrong. Warnock claimed that he is starting from the back, so it will either be a GK or a DEF. Paddy Kenny a possibility, clint hill a possibility

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I did say last week, It's Paddy Kenny, I like Lonergan but he doesn't command the area. He should be our no2 with Paddy No 1 Gj

Agree1 Disagree1

What makes you think Kenny is going to leave a premier club to a championship side with no ambition

Agree0 Disagree3

Warnock said the deal was pretty much done, and he did say he was starting from the back and ure all wide of the mark with all of warnocks ex Players been mentioned. The signing that will happen on may 1st is alreadi at the club its paul robinson

Agree2 Disagree1

At end of season kenny will be leaving for a club in the same division as he's in. That's qpr going down by the way, I'm not that optimistic

Agree0 Disagree0

Who ever it is will be the new captain of the club

Agree0 Disagree1

I know it's the typical ridiculous source but I know Kenny's cousin and he told me that he is in talks.

We cant sell snodgrass! whenever we attck it always comes from him! He is the life and blood of the team!

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Unfortunately even Snodgrass is now saying that Leeds have no ambition and he cannot understand why Howson was sold but not replaced? I think Snodgrass is potentially one of our best players, given a team to actually play with, (rather than against), unfortunately he has now started to criticise Ken Bates, we all know where that will lead (though hope not!)

Agree8 Disagree1

I think snodgrass should first ask Bates about the summer spending and why he should stay and then make his mind up before moving to Norwich.

Agree2 Disagree0

Its been said in some area's that his Agent has had talks with two Premier league clubs, 1 being guess who Norwich and the other Everton, the Norwich link would make a lot of sence, one that Lambert would like to have Johnson Howson Snoddgrass, remember what they were like playing together at Leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Since taking over the captaincy Snoody has gone down hill, against Derby he (like the rest) was awful. WHilst skillful he is easily crowded out and does not pace. I would sell for anything over £1.5m and replace him by bringing Gradel back.

Agree2 Disagree1

I said we should not give snoddy the job of been captain as he would lose the best part of his game . he lost all of his concentration . it might just be that hes had enough and cant pick up his game and he knows its time to leave .leeds need to try sell him by the end of the summer unless he signs a contract. 5 mil will be good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

To anyone who starts chanting Bates Out will you please shut it. I dont like Bates any more than you do but he aint going anywhere and your chanting only affects the team. I thought you were all Leeds fans whateva. Well this is whateva so get behind the lads especially next season. Furthermore if we don't get off to a great start be patient. It will take a set of new players time to gel. Look at Reading, bottom of the league in november and now almost certs for promotion.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Youre spot on mate.
It makes my blood boil to hear the Bates Out mob on matchday. Save your breath you chumps, he's going nowhere. I dislike him too, I hate his chairmanship, he's a s**thead........ but he's OUR s**thead. If you spent as much effort singing FOR the team and not AGAINST Bates there might have been a few different performances on the pitch.Think about it.

Agree8 Disagree4

Much as I hate Bates I agree. There is a place for protest but not inside the ground and certainly not during games.

Agree3 Disagree1

Well if its gonna be done inside the ground it should be now while theres nothing to play for

Agree3 Disagree1

Would Ken Bates kindly leave the building! Would Ken Bates kindly leave the building!
hmmm... does quite have the same impact as Bates Out! and he ain't gonna hear it from Lowfields car park..

Agree0 Disagree0

"Bates Out" has no impact on old Ken whatsoever. You are deluded if you think he gives a jot about you and your chanting. I dont know him from Adam but he comes accross as a pretty stubborn, selfrighteous kinda guy and im sure his little hoofs are digging in more firmly every time he hears you call his name.
What impact it has on the players is debatable but im sure its not positive. Go stand outside his riverside penthouse in Leeds docks if you want him to hear you because when hes in the ground hes behind pretty thick glass watching the game on his executive box Plasma.Turkeys!!!

Agree4 Disagree0

You never know he may even surprise us next year with the transfer budget. The best thing that could happen is that we finish closer to the bottom than the playoffs as Bates may realise he needs to spend. And NW would not of come i dont believe if it wasnt the case he was getting money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson put together a team to get out of league 1 fair play to him culdnt hack it in championship
Wornock will put together a team to get us out of championship but he's no prem manager
I believe in wornock and lufc but I don't believe in bates to spend to keep us in the prem
Lufc hughzy

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Utter nonsense! how can you say Graysons team couldnt hack the championship when they finished 7th the first time of asking! the team that Grayson built could hack the championship but unfortunatley it got took away from him by greedy Bates. Kasper, Howson, Gradel, Johnson, Killa, etc were players capable of hacking the championship - 2 of the above are fairing quite well in the prem and one is playing in the french top league!

what they probably couldnt handle was teh constant bickering between fans and the board, protests, new contracts not getting given, broken promises and money being spent on pathetic boxes in stands when it should have been injected into the team.

but to say SG's team couldnt hack the championship is bull!

Agree5 Disagree0

Lonergan And Schmeichal Lichaj Lees Kisnorbo White O Dea Gradel Snodgrass Howson Kilkenny Clayton Thompson Johnson I like Rodgers seen him in mls and he is class, Becchio Beckford McCormack Somma all of these wud have got us the title if grayson was backed and it would have been done playing nice attacking Football not warnocks kick and rush long ball crap which may get us promoted but will lead to us coming straight back down as that football does not work anymore as proven by the fact qpr had to spend so much as they were not gettin results Grayson was a top manager yes he had his flaws defensively but at least you could guarentee excitement and goals personallyi enjoyed all last year when presenters on sky like redknapp and tyler etc called usthe most entertaining team in england because you always got goals leeds now have noo creativity its hit and hope and ye deluded fans will find this out next year but i will continue to support leeds and will give warnock a chance however obvious the outcome may seem

Agree3 Disagree0

Good to see people on here finally realising how badly SG was treated and how well he really did with no resources.

I'm not anti-Warnock but still think Grayson was made a scapegoat for Bates's failings after losing his best players and being left with the reserves.

Agree1 Disagree1

Nothing to do with grayson not been able to hack it . im sure if he had been given 4 mil to spend on transfer fees we would of been in top 6 now.
bates as got to pay todays wages not 10 yr agos .hes stuck in time .

Agree1 Disagree1

It obviously did seen as bated and harvey have spent the last few months slating grayson along with warnock who was appointed to get the best out of the current crop of players availible grayson would have had us in prem with the same players if the results of others was the same leeds were doing better under redfearn even warnocks ten games he has been in charge he has the worst record of any leeds manager even wise when we got relegared had a better record simply our players are footballers creative players like clayton snoddy mccormack whiye are better than kick and rush football never wanted warnock but know have no choice but to support him and the team even though i think there better players than warnock gives credit for

Agree2 Disagree0

Ian Harte's contract with Reading runs out in the summer. Anyone else want to see him retire at Elland Road? He's still a hell of a player at this level.

Believable7 Unbelievable6

U need a whole new team u were cr*p

Agree5 Disagree3

Ian Harte whilst being very good at set pieces can't do the basics and that is defend. This failing cost Leeds very dearly the last time he played. In essence he was the weakest link in the side costing Leeds far more goals than he caused at the other end!!

Agree13 Disagree2

That is a bit harsh on the lad, yes we did concede a lot of goals down that side of the pitch. However that was due to Kewell, never tracking back and giving cover. So he was always over ran.
Ian Harte doesn't seem to have any problems defending at Reading does he?
In this league he can do a job and add 10 goals a season. {Ed020's Note - he is doing well at reading admittidly, i think he is perfect for this league. and can't go wrong with someone whose good at set pieces. would be a good signing, but can't see it happening}

Agree3 Disagree3

I would have harte just for the freekicks
we have some good players but no one thats constantly good at taking them.roll on next season .time to see if bates digs deep or blames another manager

Agree0 Disagree1

We don't need Harte. Ok his free -kicks are excellent but you can't sign a player just for that. He's meant to be a defender and he couldn't defend a decade ago!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I cannot believe the comments on here about Warnock! He's a proven manager who knows what he's doing, when he first joined QPR he had a poor end to the season, ended up in 13th... so nearlythe same as we're doing now, but after he had the summer and pre-season to sort the team out, they became champions. QPR did have money, but i'm not sure Colin would have signed up without the promise of funds for what he wanted! Because of that you can't say he's a crap manager already. When he's given time to sort the squad out, the summer.. We will look like a different side next season, and i'll put my money on us getting promoted!

MOT
